Is that the thing that has a gyro in it and you get it started and then roll your wrist in a oval pattern to keep it going ?? Like this : ?? http://www.haimei.com/novelty/gyro_ball.htm Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Wow, a lot of good replies here, but I guess I think of things differently... When we are on the taxi way or runway, I say a little prayer for me, and everyone else on the plane makes it back to the ground safely and that we have lots of FUN!! Then for the first couple of minutes, I'm hoping that we get above 2,000' so I don't have to go out via silver. I'm also waiting for my ProTrack to go off to let me know it's working and making sure that it coincides with my wrist altimeter at 1,000'. It's funny is that usually my ears pop right before 1,000' and when turn to look at my wrist alti, the protrack is going off. Then I usually grab my handles to make sure that they are still there ( for the third or fourth time since putting on my gear.) By that time, it's just about 3,000' and I enjoy the rest of the ride and stare out the window or try to talk to others on the plane and geek the tandem/AFF cameras. I'm usually deep in thought after this trying to visualize the dive and trying to remember to relax and have fun. Then before I know it, it's time to GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Butthead: Whoa! I'm curious about something, and it might be slightly OT.... SO I understand that jumping while you have a cold, head cold, congestion, etc... is bad, but.... Is it from the alitude that causes the problem, or the sudden change in altitude from climbing in the aricraft or the actual skydive?? i.e.: If you were to do a HnP instead of a full altitude jump (13k+) would it make any difference ? Or what about if you were to go snowboarding instead on a mountain that is about 8,000' MSL. Would the effects be the same for all three if you had the same sickness? Butthead: Whoa! Ok, that is not a Bole helmet, it is a Boeri. I know, cause I have one just like it and use it for skydiving. It fits well, offers great protection, and is warm in the winter time. It also is not bad in the summer. I left my goggle strap on the back as I do plan to use it during the winter months when I snowboard. The only problem I had with it was mounting a ProTrack inside. I had to cut out a little of the foam protection and it fits pretty good with it in there. I can feel it against my ear, but it is far from uncomfortable. If it fits you and is comfortable, I would say go for it and use it. The goggle strap might be an issue for some, but a couple local riggers told me it should not pose a problem. Plus, I have received numerous compliments on it, since you don't see too many of them around the dz. Plus, the snowboarders know what it is when they see it. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Oh, and by the way, for those that jumped with me in Perris... I should have my new Tony Suit this week or next (2-4 week rush) so floating with the rest of you lightweights should not be a problem, and also going low should be a thing of the past for me. Also, I should be ordering my new Infinity either this coming Wednesday or this Sunday. WoooHOOO!!! I'm hoping I can ask for a rush on that too and get it by X-MAS !! Merry Christmas to me... Merry Christmas to me... Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

I usually hear the last line only, but when they do sing the entire 'song' it is the version that the Bytch just mentioned. So now we know what the entire verses might be, but I don't think the original question was answered. Where did it come from, and why does it pertain to skydiving ? Someone in our sport had to start this for a reason, and I would like to know why as well. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! I'm a little confused.... did he break the record? The article states However, later in the article, it says So which one is it? He was doing 312 and trying to beat the record of 304 ? That makes no sense to me. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Ok, I propose that we make Thursday, the day for BOOBIES!! We got Friday Haikus, and Weekend Numbers. What's missing is a day set aside strictly for the posting of boobies. I will start today. I believe I am a die-hard gamer or more than the next guy who attends LAN parties regularly and frags quite a bit, but the new cases coming out with lighting effects and shit... Those are just GAY!!! IMO I almost fell over when I saw the case-carrying doohickeys that are out now. You guys seen these things for LAN parties ? You put your case in this sling thing and then keyboard, mouse, CDs, power cords and then carry it like a briefcase. This guy is making a killing off these things. The lighting effects, I just don't get. I see them at LAN parties, but once you've seen one, you've seen them all. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Try hitting refresh, right now it looks like you have a runner(?) at the starting line on a blue track, or something like that ROTFL Yup, it did originally look like a runner to me too. Closer inspection proves that it is indeed a FROG!! It looks like a runner at the starting line though...quite funny. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump -
ahh yes... you are all correct. I was thinking of an entaglement. In a wrap, I can see how it would be detrimental for the top guy to fall and land into the bottom guy. I'll look at your site. Thanks Wendy! Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

I think you guys are missing this guy's message....4 billion or 60 billion, it don't matter... From what I hear him saying, it's either shit or get off the pot or maybe Would you like some cheese with your whine ?? or maybe he's just trying to say that you should be grateful for what you have and that your little insignificant problems are nothing compared to the vast universe of space and time.... just my opinion for the night. Go skydive and be grateful for what you have and remember that things will get better...they may get worse first, but they will always get better. OR you die, and then you really have no worries afterall, now do you ?? Go SKYDIVE - you might just feel better Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! This should probably go under suggestions and bug fixes, but this is just too weird. If you click on the "forums" link up at the top and then look at the "Home" icon in the top left of the browser window (part of the dropzone.com home page) there is a pixel missing in that picture. What gives, HH ?? I first thought my laptop had a pixel out until I scrollled up and down and the pixel moved with the browser. I checked it on 3 different PCs and they are all showing the same thing. It also appears there is another one missing in the e-mail icon - at the very very right corner of the icon. Again, this is only seen when you are in the "Forum" section of the site. Anywhere else and it does not show up. Strange...... anyone else see this and think it's weird, or is it just me ? Look at the attached pic for proof that I am not crazy. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

From left to right and top to bottom USPA sticker (newly applied!!) I got tired of people asking me, "so you did a tandem, eh ? " when they saw my Byron sticker. SKYDIVE!! Byron sticker Snowbomb sticker on right side. Used to have flag in middle, but it faded to white and I scraped it off. Need new flag sticker. EDIT: Plus on the inside of my carr - Another SKYDIVE Byron sticker and a SKYDIVE TAFT sticker !! Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Anyone know where i can get a free copy of the latest SIM from please?
Cornholio replied to Newbie's topic in The Bonfire
Not only that, but I sent mine to Kinko's to be printed out with a metal ring for the binding, and it was asbout 25 bucks. Add my time and gas to the mix and it's close to 30. Either way, it's going to cost you the same. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump -
Those look about what I am looking for and cheap, but they sure don't give a lot of information or close up pics. Anyone else have any links ? Thanks Casch ! Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

I am looking for a gear bag that will hold my rig, and maybe a jumpsuit, a few clothes, helmet and other items. Preferrably something that I can take on an airplane with me and also carry to the dropzone. I have seen people at dzs with these things, but have never asked where to get one. I have looked on the Net and also classifieds, but I think I am searching for the wrong terms. Can anyone point me in the right direction and clue me in to what name I should be looking for ? Any known web sites that I can see what I am buying ?? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Hmm...I was under the impression that if two people are involved in a wrap, that the lower person should NOT cut away because it could wrap the top guy up more. The bottom guy should stay put until the top guy frees himself or he cuts away. Either way, they should both be talking to each other before the bottom guy cuts away unexpectedly. Keeping weight on the lines is what is needed so they top guy can easily free himself. If the bottom guy cuts away, it's more of a mess to get tangled up with the top guy. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
