Ok, as some of you have seen, I started a trivia bot in the pub tonite. I thought it was be fun to spice things up a bit, but then realized that this would be a great learning tool and fun to play if it evolved around skydiving and dropzone.com culture. So..... If you want to help me out, create a list of questions and answers and send them to me via PM and I will add them to the bot and we can serve them up. Possible Categories: **USPA SIM information (very useful for noobs and oldtimers and those getting licenses and ratings) -- Saftey and Training -- Gear and Rigging **Dropzone.com culture (ex: who is the biggest post whore?) (ex: who's the #1 monkey? ) **Skydiving history and trivia (please be certain of your history, I don't want to have 3 different answers for questions.) Please send at least 10 QandA to me in the PM. You must be using netscape or some other browser that doesn't handle MIME types (.wmv files) well. Don't worry, I use netscape too. You gotta right click on the link and choose "Save Target as..." and then run it after it's downloaded. And I wouldn't call it graphic... there's no blood or titties Butthead: Whoa! Here's one. My limits are 25 MPH steady wind or if there's a delta of more than 7-8mph between gusts. I've jumped in 30MPH winds before and it's not fun. I use FTP mostly. It's a little slow starting off, but once you start to trade FTP sites with other operators, you can build up a nice network of finding anything you want at any time. Most FTP sites are up 24/7, unlike P2P programs that run only when necessary. Although if you intend to leech, you're not going to be welcome much in the FTP community. Sharing is good, and most people will only trade with you if you have your own FTP site or know someone who doesn't mind you giving out the logon. And FTP is not 100% safe (I've never heard of anyone getting an RIAA letter or a DMCA letter), but it's a login-permission based method that usually keeps out the bad people (RIAA, MPAA, FBI, etc..) .
