SkyDance SkyDiving's 2008 American Boogie!
Cornholio replied to tiggershunny's topic in Events & Places to Jump
You know I was going to put money on that the Casa would either a) break down during the busiest part of the boogie, or b) not show up for whatever reason. It seems like this has happened multiple times in the past at this boogie or Byron Boogie. But I chose to keep silent and not jinx you guys. Glad you all had fun. I wish I could have been there. Prior commitments and bad planning on my part kept me from attending this year. I hope to make a return next year. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Waiting for Official Firefox 3 Release at 10:00am PDT...
Cornholio replied to Gawain's topic in The Bonfire
Considering that the official sites are all slashdiggered, here's a link to one that I got from rapidshare that I freely give to you. But you won't be part of the official record count. But that serves them right for not having the capacity to handle the flood. 204.11.224.12/Firefox_Setup_3.0.exe Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Agreed, Arco isn't listed in my area. And no, it doesn't suck. I've used it in all my vehicles ever since I started driving and haven't noticed any problems. I use this site regularly. It's updated more frequently and independently. http://www.gasbuddy.com/ Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Damn, I knew you were in a band, but I thought it was some jazz or folk-singing type of music. But damn, your music kicks ass. I def want to go to a show in the Bay Area next time you guys play. What's your play schedule look like? Good stuff indeed. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Fitness Friends Post Your Efforts for March 21-27
Cornholio replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
Well I think I owe beer for this one... my [] post in one of these threads. Last Saturday I bought myself a road bike to try and get my fat ass in shape by commuting to work. Last year I rode my mountain bike to work 3 times the entire year, but it was such a POS that I gave up on it and started munching on Twinkies instead. But so far this week, I've done it 3 times and I look forward to doing it full time in the next few weeks when I get my stamina and muscles built up a bit. It's a 16mi route trip commute, but my fat ass has trouble going over the fucking bridges, so I hop on the light rail for the last two miles before work so I don't burn out. When I can do the first 6 miles without too much effort, then I'll tackle the hills. Goal is to ride 4-5 days a week to work, then begin stopping off at the gym on the way in and do some weight training. That's probably a good 3-4 weeks out as I want to tackle those fucking bridges first. I got a long way to go. Sitting right under 230lbs right now, and my goal is sub-200 by the end of the year. Yay for me!! Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump -

Is there an online map to record one's travels?
Cornholio replied to Cornholio's topic in The Bonfire
Thanks, but I think I found what I was looking for. I've been playing around with google maps and it has the ability to add multiple placemarks. Those get stored on the google server then the link can be shared with others. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump -
Is there an online map to record one's travels?
Cornholio replied to Cornholio's topic in The Bonfire
I'm looking for an online map service that will allow my mom to mark locations that she has traveled to. She's been all around the world and it would interesting to keep track of where she's been and hasn't been. I looked at Frappr, but it only lets you add yourself to the map. There's no way (that I can find) to add additional pins for your own account. I've also looked at some places that do similar, but they are not as granular as I'd like. In other words, it will only let you mark countries and not large cities. Frappr would be perfect if it let you add custom pins yourself. Is there any service online that will do this? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump -
It sounds like to me you either work(ed) at Jiffy Lube or you're just over-zealous about changing your oil. It's not going to hurt changing at that early interval, but it is a waste of money and resources. Spend some time here http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/ Most new car manufacturers recommend 7500 mi or 6 months, and 5000/3 months for severe conditions. Personally, I have done one and plan to do synthetic oil changes every 5k in my new 07 4Runner. It's below what the manufacturer recommends and WAY below what is recommended for synthetic oil. I'm suprised nobody has asked this yet... What kind of porn? The morning is too early for full orgy show, but girl-on-girl action is welcome anytime in my house. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

On December 6th, 2007 at 3:41 PM, my wife gave birth to our first son. Tyler David was born via c-section one month ahead of schedule due to complications with my wife's pregnancy. He weighed 5lbs and 12 ounces and 19.5" long. We just came home from the hospital on Monday, but I've been a busy Dad and haven't had the time (or energy) to go through the hundreds of photos taken already and post pics. Mom and Tyler are doing great now. He's definitely an unexpected present this year, but nonetheless we're very happy to have him here and doing this well. Attached a few pics: 1) Future Skydiver 2) No Shit, it's THIS big! 3) Sweet Dreams Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

I was there two years ago. Would I do it again? You bet, but knowing what I know now, here's what I'd do differently. We couldn't find a room for a couple of nights for less than about 400-500/night. So we stayed at New Orleans, which is off the strip. Wife and I are very familiar with the hotels on the strip as we go 3-4 times a year, so this was the best deal at the time. Getting onto the strip during the evening wasn't a problem. Cabs can come and go and drop you off in the back entrances of most of the hotels n the strip during the day before dark. However, getting off the strip is a different story. First, as others have said - prepare for a 2-3 hour wait after midnight to get a cab off the strip. The cab lines are about 100-200 people deep and since it's most people are leaving the strip instead of going, be prepared to wait for 2-3 hours. We waited at MGM for about 2 hours around 2 AM and didn't get back to New Orleans until around 5 - the sun was just about to come up. The crowds weren't as bad as I expected. Yes, they block the streets and there are tons of people on the street. We were playing poker in Alladdin and came down to the strip about 15 min before midnight. It wasn't a problem getting onto the strip, and took only about 15 min to get back into the hotel. Be prepared to show a room key to get into any of the strip hotels after midnight, so we borrowed a friend key who was staying in the hotel. That was also the night they blew up the Boardwalk hotel, so that was cool. Next time, I would DEFINITELY get a room on the strip. It's worth every penny to not have to wait in cab lines and/or getting into the hotel after midnight. Or if you're staying with 4-5 people, there's limos that are available for about 100 bucks per trip, so it works out about the same if you take a cab for two people. Wife and I didn't want to spend that money so we just waited in line like the rest of the fools. Even if you park your car in the garage, it's still going to take an hour or two to get out. Think about it - say 100k of those 200k people want to get off the strip at the same time as you. We took the monorail from Harrahs back to MGM and the lines weren't too bad. I suppose staying at the Holiday Inn would be cheaper and the monorail runs til 2AM on that night. I have pics and video of that night. I'll try and find them and post a few. Have fun! Dude, you're sending your wife ALONE to Vegas? Well you know what they say - what happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas... I've been to the Luxor Spa and the Mandalay Bay Spa. The MB was heaps better and more things to do, bigger and better service IMO. But all of them are bit different for each sex - you should definitely try to get more replies from the women. I love the MB spa, but that's our favorite hotel to begin with, so maybe I'm biased. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Yeah, that's what people thought when gold was at $300 10 years ago. Also tell that to people that invested in google when it was at $400/share! YYMV, but to say there's a limit on something like that is believing that 640K would be enough computer memory. LOL Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah!
