  1. I usually don't remember to leave feedback until the next time I go to Ebay or the next time I purchase something - which could be a month or two at the longest. I'm not sure what the big deal is -- delayed or no feedback at all sure is better than negative feedback. The feedback system is really starting to go downhill in the last year or two, so it's not a big deal to me to leave or receive feedback in a timely manner. Just as long as it's not negative, I don't give a shit.
  2. Was it a Cashier's check or just a plain check from a checkbook? If it was the former, I can't see how this is possible as the Cashier's check funds get debited from the requestors account immediately. If it was the latter... well, ya.. That shit happens all the time. Always get a cashiers check unless you like throwing money away. Live and learn, I guess. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! 3. Chalk another one up for Webroot SpySweeper. I too have been using it for the last couple years along with Avast AV on all my computers and haven't had any problems. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  4. I'd hit it! Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  5. Why did you even go into work then? Take the day off, man. Most bosses and companies would understand that the roads were closed. Walking 5 miles to get to work - F-that!! Happy BDay, BTW! Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  6. It was because of a girl, right? It's always because of a girl. Welcome back! Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  7. HA! That's pretty funny. My kid's Godparents are athiests!! Their role is to take over the parental duties if something to happen to the wife and I, unless my mother is still around - then she'll probably raise him. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  8. Is there a dz.com Eloy Boogie 2008 thread started already? If so, I can't find it in search. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  9. I always thought PTO in that syntax meant Power Take-Off. Same principle that you described though. Most dump trucks have one so that it powers the bed for dumping. And yes, PTO in my post meant Paid Time Off. It's not as bad as unpaid time off, but still bad that the company is forcing it upon about 50,000 employees. But if it saves jobs and prevents a RIF (Reduction in force or Layoff) for some time, then I'm ok with it. Plus I have aobut 220 hours banked in PTO, so losing 48 + 8 hours floating holiday isn't too bad. I really feel for the people that don't have that much PTO or nothing. They go negative for 5 days max and then the other two days are unpaid. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  10. I just found out today that my company is instituting a 7 day mandatory PTO for all employees during the Holiday period. So that basically means that for the first time in 5 years, I'll have a work break from Dec 20-Jan4. Not sure what to do yet, but the Eloy Boogie did come to mind.
  11. I'm a long-time GnR fan, but let me just say this: FUCK YOU AXL!! This album has been promised almost every other year for at least the last 3 years. I predict hell will freeze over before the album actually hits the store shelves. If I'm wrong, great - I'll be one of the first to get it. But I'm not holding my breath on this one. I saw them a couple years ago for the 5th time when they came around and the show was off the hook! It sure is nice when you're not waiting 2+ hours for Axl to get his shit together and come on stage like when they were touring with Metallica and Aerosmith back in the day! Butthead: Whoa! 12. I can explain it to you if you really really want me to. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  13. yeah, except you get to leave at the end of the day. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  14. Like I said, it's not Dz.com's problem. If you can't access it through mIRC or using the java applet, then it's most likely a firewall problem at your work. If you're trying from home, then you definitely have an error in your network config. This is a simple TCP connection. The only thing blocking it would be a router or firewall either correctly configured to keep you away or incorrectly configured and it's blocking you. Sorry guys. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  15. Sorry, it's not up to me. Ask your work IT to let you come in and play. I can connect just fine through work with mIRC and the java applet. You can try mIRC and try the different ports - 6667 - 7000. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  16. It's been a while... Come on it, the weather is nice here. http://www.dropzone.com/chat or in mIRC: server: irc.supremechat.net 7000 channel #dropzone Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  17. Last time I checked, guys don't have "Hoo-Has"... Got something to share with all of us Billy? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  18. Only one wish per wishbone. Sorry, but your dual-wish is null and void. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  19. Exactly! This is always the first thing I do when I get a new shower head. If there's no plastic flow-control device in place that you can drill through, sometimes there is just a washer with a small hole in it that you can remove. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  20. You sir, obviously haven't done your homework. Check here: http://gizmodo.com/5015540/iphone-3gs-true-price-compared FGI for more info. I got my iPhone the second day after waiting 4 hours in line. The phone is definitely worth it. After coming from a Treo650 for the last 4 years, there was definitely a big step-up in the feature list. There's some shortcomings such as battery life and 3G signal not as strong as Edge. Plus I now get signal at home AND at the DZ, where before I had none-to-barely any coverage. But overall I'm very happy with my purchase and my now $90/mo phone bill (the 450 plan + data + 200 SMS + Fees). Once my work gets done with their beta testing of the phone and Exchange services, they'll probably be picking up some, if not all, of the cost. But as another poster said, having the Internet at your fingertips and the A/V capabilities - it simply pays for itself and well worth it IMO. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  21. You have a BB, you have Internet. Photos....Now!! Entertain us, Dammit!! Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  22. Wow! Deja-vu. Didn't we just have one of these threads recently? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  23. So let me get this straight. Someone on dz.com is now (or returning) stalking you and you're telling publicly that you're thinking of carrying a gun? Remember the part of that person stalking you here....reading your posts... I'd get a vest too if I were you. This could get ugly. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  24. See attached. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  25. My thoughts exactly. I think the motto "A skydiver site run by skydivers" will soon turn to an ad-ridden corporate sponsorship (much worse than it is now.) But you gotta do what you gotta do, so good for you and I hope this works out for you and all of us members. So.... which skydiver is going to start dropzone2.com ? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
