Clicky Not the most flattering picture on the net. "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

+1 I love my V3-M but there are more comfortable solutions out there. The rig isn't uncomfortable and I am not bothered by it, but like Terry said, it's an individual preference. I know one guy that got a brand new V3-M and ended up getting a brand new Racer shortly after because it was more comfortable. Alaska Airlines: Note on wing 'not the best approach'

Maybe it wasn't a pressurized marker and it didn't write upside down. "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message -
In some climates, USPA actually recommends students wear gloves. As with anything, proper training on the ground will make it safer in the air. Most of my first 100-150ish jumps were with a pair of Mechanix gloves. Turns out an ex of mine flew on that plane and was upset she couldn't snap a clear picture of the writing. Small world! "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message -
Maybe there never has been any true loyalty between management and labor, but my dad spent 45 years as an engineer for one company (under 6 different corporate names). I've got 28 years with the FAA. My kids seem to change jobs twice a year, looking for that next step up. Companies almost seem to expect it. I'd rather be looked at as someone that waited for the *RIGHT* job instead of hopping job to job. I would think that would help me out in a prospective employers eyes. No such luck. *Just* got offered a job for almost half what I was making and should be making... pretty tempted to just take it and start job hopping till I get somewhere good. The only job I've been offered in the past 8 months of being gainfully unemployed and burning thru my savings account was a few weeks ago. They SERIOUSLY bottom dollared the offer, part time, across the city and working weekends. I didn't take it (can make more at the DZ during the weekend than I'd make there anyways) My career adviser told me I should have taken the job and kept looking so I could move to another job as soon as I got it. He said there is no loyalty in the private market. I don't know why you guys are giving him such a hard time. OP: Just ask the pilot for the oxygen line that every skyvan has installed. They generally don't pass it out unless you ask. Just to play the devils advocate, how would sewing loops at the top of the risers effect the rings at the bottom? "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

Sounds legit. The part I like the best is in the description he said it will work for fiber... Must be that new EMI sensitive fiber. Next you'll say that senior riggers cannot change handles on main throw out pilot chutes. "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

Here's the fix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lG5cEik2ABY&feature=related I'm going to get a box of Cat-5 and some electrical tape right now! For who? By distracting a tandem student from their own business? By asking them to jack around in their harness near the door while their TI is trying to conduct a safe skydive? Worry about your gear, your handles, your pins, your mindframe, your skydive, and your spot when you're in the door preparing to jump. Sir yes sir! Relax ffs it was just an idea, I am very aware of the fact that I am inexperienced. Doug got the gist of it, no need to continue blasting me for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeLrybWbRF8 "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

You need a master rigger to work on risers? I wonder which, if any, of my several riser sets is legal? This is a very commonly argued topic. Personally if a senior rigger has the ability to do the work properly, there's no reason they shouldn't be able to add loops to the rear risers. By ability I mean the know how, the machines and the materials. Wanna explain to the class why that is? (I know, just rather you tell it) "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

For V3's I'd recommend standard or soft fitting for the reserve. It could be a pain in the ass for your rigger to get it in there and make it look good and FEEL good. It's no secret that if you have even a little too much bulk in the ears, it will fit your shoulders like a 2x4 of wood. Not sure where you heard that you should have a reserve 'tightly packed'... I've never heard that before and usually hear quite the opposite. No real reason to wait if it's going to be a while, the risers can be disconnected at any time. "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

I'd also suggest SETTING both brakes. "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

Sunday's report: USPA BOD meeting
theonlyski replied to MikeTJumps's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
http://www.uspa.org/NewsEvents/News/tabid/59/Default.aspx#29084 Those both sound like ways to get more money. There was already a point brought up somewhere on here (can't find the post off hand) that if they want to verify license applications are filled out correctly, they could do a courtesy check on it without issuing a license number. Why not allow FAI licenses for USPA ratings?
