    Just FYI, that doesn't mean that the loop won't be damaged, just means it will happen slower. Also, the grommet or washer could have a nick in them that could cut the loop. You could easily overlook a washer cutting into your loop unless you actually take the loop out, take the washer off of it and examine the loop. But since its already out, why not replace it? Just things to think about, closing loops are CHEAP (even cheaper if you make them yourself).     The only part about that that sounds like a PLF is feet and knees together, bent and rotated. Still sounds like a baseball slide landing, with the added risk of now hitting the ground too hard with your spine already contorted instead of generally straight. I know you have way more jumps and time in the sport than I will for a very long time, but I cannot see how this would be a safer alternative for a high speed landing.     I can't comment on Deland because I've only been there for a canopy course (and thus wasn't looking for anyone to jump with), but ZHills has organizers who will put together jumps for all skill levels. All you need to do there is look for someone with an organizer t-shirt or ask at manifest - there may be several organizers working with folks of different skill/experience levels, but they're great about finding you a group that fits. +1 There are always 2-3 organizers out on the weekends, small to large groups, and they work together very well. I'm always up for a jump with a newbie too, if I'm there!     Could you explain HOW to get your feet back in front of you? I've done one or two PLF's, and I cannot imagine how you would end up with your feet in front of you while still sliding.     Yup, thats the bitch about taking naps, any of them that are long enough to actually help you out overall, will make you groggy when you wake up. It has to do with going into REM sleep, which happens around the 20-30 min mark. Same reason it makes no sense to take a 10-20 min nap, as it does NOTHING for you, except burn 10-20 mins of your day. Got this info from the guy that wrote the book on killing. I gave this one to amstalder, but, she's given me permission to put it in the breeze if I want to.     I wouldn't expect anyone to accept it, as there is no way to actually verify the jumps, atleast a current paper book, you have to get some one to sign off on the jump (which, I know, is as easy as a beer and a 'hey, can you sign this', but still) I think it would be akin to trying to use my Neptune as a verification of jump numbers for a license... nobody knows who's hand that altimeter was on, when it was on that jump.
