    A rookie packer could've let the pc under the bag or otherwise thru the lines, would be a pretty rare thing to happen, but I could semi see it. Perhaps a bridle with a highly visible color contrasting the bag/container could've made it way obvious, but I think more importantly that the packer learned the lesson and nobody had to get hurt to teach him.     IMO, if you don't trust the rigger that packed it to save your bacon when/if the time comes, you shouldn't jump that riggers work. I've seen some rigger that I wouldn't want to jump their packjobs, and that's why I got MY ticket. I realize it's not as easy for tandem instructors, but if you have valid concerns and talk to the DZO/S&TA about them, you might be able to get something worked out to make everyone happy, especially if other TI's are in the same boat.     I was in the same boat as you, and I HATED having some lens infront of my eyes for landing. Good news is, it got better for me... took a while, but there is hope that you're not having to do the goggle remove every time forever. I also pulled my goggles down to my chin or opened up my fullface visor. Wind wasn't an issue. Talk to your instructors, buy goggles that work for you, and give it a whirl.
