    For students on bigger canopies (thinking Solo and Triathalons) I teach the single flare 'at about the height you can kick me in the face' and it works pretty well. For someone moving to an appropriate canopy I teach the 2-stage (which you have listed in 3 stages). Some people are perfectly happy with the slamming the brakes on, but if you want a surf or jumping something that wants to glide, slamming the brakes down will only balloon you up.     As a younger jumper I had thought about it, more of a what-if thing. As an AFF-I, if you got anywhere near the door without one of us holding on to you or if you got past both of us and out the door, I'd be shocked. I wouldn't have time to be shocked in the plane, because I would be the next thing out the door and hot on your ass. It would take a pretty lax pair of instructors to let that happen without you turning into a meat cannon and blowing right past us.     Thanks. This actually came from someone that I just bought a Micro Sigma from. Seemed to be wrong, but I know when I did my first tandem 4 years ago on a Sigma, I had to fill out the waiver and watch the video. I hope to be attending the Sigma and USPA TI course next week, just trying to gather all of the information (my DZ uses Strong dual hawks, which I've never really liked) so I can adjust our manifesting to keep legal with a Sigma in the rotation. By the way, this is my second UPT rig- love them! Thanks for all your hard work!     I interviewed at Starbucks once when I was looking for something to fill a few months. They asked if I drank coffe, I said 'yeah, I'm mostly drinking a Guatamalan blend right now', they said 'we use african grown beans, they tend to be a bit stronger' so I said 'maybe before you dilute the fuck out of it to make the wateriest expresso out there'.
