  1. What a wonderful actor. With his home-spun humor and personality and natural talent. I'm going to miss him. Chuck
  2. In the event of a fight or flight situation, 'serious shrinkage' takes place as a defense mechanism. On the flip-side, women find this to be a big turn-off. Chuck
  3. This seems a slim change, butt considering that Mars is only one planet, and there's probably a gazillion planets in the universe, it's only a matter of time before they come. Why, would intelligent life want to come to our planet? Unless, they're looking for a good laugh! Chuck Well, considering the type of people they seem to visit. . . Lots of fun in those people sleeping in metal houses with tires. I know that's right! Chuck I'm buying an Airstream International. . .I really want to meet Mr. Spock. Impressive! Chuck

There's a new diet pill soon to be released! Chuck

  7. If, his nickname is 'Lightnin' then, there might be a possibility he started those fires in Colorado. Are those people for real? Chuck
  8. My wife and I were big fans of 'Boston Legal'. In one of the episodes, Denny wore a wetsuit. My wife was doing some searching on the net for Hollywood props and found that wetsuit. When the wetsuit arrived at the house, she opened the box and inside was a note stating that the wetsuit was in fact worn by William Shatner on the show. The note also stated he wore it 'commando'. We have yet to open the zippered hanger bag containing the wetsuit. Chuck
  9. I've hear he likes to go 'commando'. I didn't tjink anything could embarrass Denny Crane! Chuck
  10. Theft of service? Caveat Emptor is what I think he's articulating. It was my weak attempt at humor. Chuck
  11. I'm a fence sitter on that part. In one end, yeah, killing themselves is basically a FUCK YOU to our wish to make em suffer. Yet it's just as annoying, far longer lasting, and more expensive when they use the decades long judicial process to rant on - take the killer in Norway, for example. And if they're truly whackos, they never get executed anyway, and potentially could be released some day if clarity returns. People want to know "why" and they can't get that when the shooter offs himself. But I don't think they really get an answer most of the time anyway. I think you're right. It's just aggravating and frustrating. Chuck
  12. What really makes me mad is, the whackos who do something like this, always 'turn the gun on themselves'. Damned cowards. It's bad enough our troops have to face what they do in battle but not at home. To the victims and their families go my prayers. Chuck
  13. On the other hand, if the valor thief uses that deception at, say, a bar or at the DZ bonfire - a venue bereft of any moral values in the first place - to get laid with a girl who was looking to hook-up with a guy anyway, then no, it's neither criminal nor civil fraud - it's just life. Caveat emptor. Theft of service? Chuck
  14. This was further in the story... An addiction expert said she wouldn't rule out marijuana causing the agitation. "It could have been the strain of marijuana that increases the dopamine in the brain, such as sativa," said Dr. Patricia Junquera, assistant professor at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. There are two strains of marijuana called sativa and indica. The sativa increases dopamine and gives you energy while decreasing pain threshold. Indica is a "sleepy high," she explained. "People don't really know what the amount of either is in each little packet of marijuana," she explained. "And we can't differentiate between the two in the blood, much less in a dead person." She also suggested that if Eugene had a mental disorder, "the marijuana could have increased even further the dopamine levels and aggravated the situation. So that can't be ruled out." Chuck
  15. From the article: "An expert on toxicology testing said that marijuana alone wasn't likely to cause behavior as strange as Eugene's." Matt It just looked like perfect foddder for the anti dopers. You know how people can twist things. Chuck
  16. This won't help 'the cause' any! http://home.myhughesnet.com/news/read.php?rip_id=%3CD9VLN6JO1%40news.ap.org%3E&ps=1011 Chuck
  17. and you finished with "dope," which refers to (depending on the type of person) either pot or heroin. ...or coke, crank, and etc. Dope is dope. picky-picky... Chuck
  18. Too often, doing shit does involve others. If, my horse throws me, kicks me or bites me in the ass, only involves me. If, you can guarantee me that folks doing dope doesn't hurt someone else then, git after it! He needs to be more careful about his language. It's not whether it hurts others, it's whether it infringes upon the rights of others. People don't have a right to "not be hurt" in the general sense of the term. People have a right to not have you run them down and trample them with your horse, but they don't have a right to feel a little bit safer knowing that can't happen because horses are banned. Similarly, people have a right to not catch a bullet fired through a wall of a neighbors home because a deal over illegal drugs went bad, but they don't have a right to feel a little bit better thinking that can't happen because drugs are illegal. The [ironic] difference here is, it's the law that sets up the infringements of the rights of others that result from the use of the drug... all emotional hurt aside. Someone will get hurt because someone else uses illicit drugs. You cannot put emotional hurt so casually aside. Sometimes, emotional hurt lasts longer than any other. Why, do you think they call it dope? Chuck
  19. I wouldn't consider you a denier, because you don't deny the science behind climate change. I _would_ call Milloy a denier. Not only is he paid to deny the science, he identifies himself as a denier. From his own words, he just goes where the money is. Tobacco money dried-up so he moved on to somethg else. Chuck
  20. Skydiving is not in the Constitution... you OK with banning it? Riding a horse is not in the Constitution, you OK with banning it? And here you ignore the part I said twice about "AS LONG AS IT DOES NOT HURT OTHERS". Until you admit that part.... This discussion has no point. Too often, doing shit does involve others. If, my horse throws me, kicks me or bites me in the ass, only involves me. If, you can guarantee me that folks doing dope doesn't hurt someone else then, git after it! Chuck
  21. You bet! Just watch... the bad guys' will sue the family for anything some scheister lawyer can come-up with. That boy, no matter how you slice it, did a heckuva job!! Chuck
  22. The only thing I can think of is, the Mexican gang thinks they can gather-up, go to Europe, wipe-out enough Mafia like they have Mexican police and others, and take control. From all I've read, the Mexican gangs intend to take world control of the drug trade. I don't think they know what they are in for! Chuck
  23. When I'm buying corn on the cob, I'll pull-back some of the husk to get a look at the kernels. I do push the husks back in place and either buy it or put it back. Seems to me, shucking corn in the store doesn't make sense. It'll just dry out by the time you get it home. I think, people who do that just don't want to deal with it at home. Chuck
