  1. The minimum wage should be increased. No! Chuck
  2. That's what the wealthy would of course say. Just like they say 'trickle down' works. The best course of action for America is to promote wealth through personal initiative, hard work and sound management... Certainly not by getting an unearned inheritance. Maybe in some cases. You're not taking into account family farms and ranches where the kids want to continue the operation and look forward to it until the day comes when the inheritance tax has to be paid and the family farm or ranch has to be sold to the highest bidder. In other cases, others want that 'un-earned inheritance' to go to the kids so their kids have life easier than they had it. Any way you slice it, the inheritance tax is wrong. Chuck
  3. Snce you started this topic... what is your opinion? Chuck
  4. I think this says as much about the criminalization of off types of behavior than anything else. Nah, it is because people like being incarcerated. Just ask killler, he knows criminals and is an expert. That's right! The county jails are over-loaded with those waiting for the call-up to the 'big show'! Chuck
  5. Quote You watch to many bad prison movies... If prison was so BAD.... Why do MOST people keep going back... It's not whether prison is good or bad. It's a matter that some members of our society can't cope in the world outside prison. That's not from some B-grade prison movie, either. I have a question for you... Are you talking Federal prisons or State prisons? Chuck
  6. Interesting comment. How would a person know if they were a "true" homosexual or not? Is it just a matter of who a person is sexually attracted to? That's how I understand it. Just the same way as heterosexuals are attracted to members of the opposite sex. Chuck Or left handers are "wired" to use their left hands. In either case I find it hard to believe that any one chooses to use their left hand (or be attracted to their own gender) just for the heck of it. To play devil's advicate, one could argue that "being born that way" doesn't automatically make any behavior okay. If my neighbor was somehow born to be inclined to strangle people, I'd have a problem with him (or her.) But if they want to date or marry someone the same gender as themselves, it doesn't bother me. I recall, back in grade school, left handed kids were strongly encouraged to use their right hand when writing. They did as were told. You could barely make-out what they wrote. They grew-up to be doctors! Seriously... Like I said earlier... as long as someone is not hurting someone else or breaking any laws, leave 'em be. Who am I to tell them how to live their lives? If, they're happy, who am I to disrupt their world? Chuck

  8. Have you ever been to Allen, Texas? There's a lot of money in that area and if they can afford it, let them have it. I know of a high school that spends more money on Athletic tape than on their English dept. I'm not defending any of this. For the last several years, people from all over this country, mostly California, are moving here. Can't be all that bad. The thing that's hurting education here is, all the 'mandated' tests that kids have to take. More time is spent on preparing for these tests than on proper education. If, a certain number of students don't pass these tests... no Federal funding. It's all part of 'No Kid Left Behind' program. I've learned that from talking with teachers and a former education director. Chuck
  9. I'm not talking about 'fornication'... I'm talking about real, genuine, born that way homosexuals. You're mincing my words. Some people choose to fuck anything that's warm... yeah that is a choice but we weren't talking choices. Woah, Chucky! Clear words, in round terms I fully agree with you.
  10. You're totally missing the point and your comparisons are not relevant. I think too, somewhere along the way, you've gotten some incorrect information on the subject of homosexuality. Not un-like so many others in this country. All right, I'll give you an example. I have a sister who as a young girl, struggled with her homosexuality. She dated boys in high school and later married a man. It didn't work. She knew what she was and finally accepted the fact. It was something she had no control over. She's been quite happy ever since. She had no control as to how she was born. She did not choose her lifestyle it is what it is. Chuck
  11. What I am saying is, those people who are born, homosexual, really 'can't help it'. It's in their genes and it's not a choice. You are saying it is a choice. Comparing them to someone who indulges in beastiality is wrong. Chuck
  12. Fornication is an option and therefore a choice. I'm not talking about 'fornication'... I'm talking about real, genuine, born that way homosexuals. You're mincing my words. Some people choose to fuck anything that's warm... yeah that is a choice but we weren't talking choices. Chuck
  13. That's Federal prison. Then, there's San Quentin, Jackson, Rikers Island, Huntsville, just to name a few. Most non-Federal prisons are run by gangs and are just plain ugly places to try to exist in. I knew a guy at a local Federal pen who was allowed to live in his own little house trailer. He took an oilfield rap for his dad. Chuck
  14. True homosexuality is not a 'choice'. Real homosexuals are born that way. Chuck
  15. 'New Riders of the Purple Sage' 'Poco' 'Quicksilver Messenger Service' Chuck
  16. Well for one the US is no longer proud of "Christian Values". That stuff is now considered "spreading hate". Anyway, the original text of the Bible doesn't translate to "kill". It's closer to murder. Killing is cool as long as you have a good reason....like killing killers who kill without a good reason. ...or, because he deededit! Chuck
  17. Too bad we cant 'do unto others' and let him get what he gave his victim. That doesn't work in a civilized society. The 'chair' will work or the gas chamber. Chuck
  18. Clicky worked for me! I say, the judge should be gracious and grant the SOB his wish! Chuck
  19. From all the tweetin' goin' on among the Europeans at the Olympics, looks like racism is alive and well over there, too.
  20. Jaywalkers don't have the 'sympathy' illegal aliens have from the bleedin' hearts. Chuck
  21. I think it's hilarious! I think too, that's all he meant it to be. Whatever happened to laughing at ourselves? Oh yeah... 'political correctness'. Chuck
  22. I like it! I like Denny's, too. Chuck
  23. He could also play a dark and intense character like the one he played in the film, "A Face in the Crowd." I often wonder if it was a conscious decision to not play a lot of heavies after that. He did, "No Time for Sergeants" shortly afterward and for the most part played affable parts from that point forward. I would have loved to have seen him in some heavier roles later in life just to see what he could really do with them. 'A Face In The Crowd' was, if I recall correctly, his very first movie role. He could be both in 'Matlock'. I believe, he preferred the 'lighter' roles, less serious. The roles he found more natural. The man was one heckuva Gospel singer, too! Chuck
