Just got off the phone with my brother-in-law. He left Houston, headed this way, over 5-hrs. ago and has managed 22-miles! He said, the cause was, folks running out of gas. They have trucks going along I-10, trying to fuel cars to keep things rolling. Some folks gave-up and went back! It's a mess. Slappie, Walt, Rebecca, Amanduh and all you folks in the Houston area, be safe. Keeping y'all in my prayers. We want to talk with you... not about you. Chuck

When the Stones: 'Bridges to Babylon' tour came to Texas, my wife surprised me with tickets. $150.00 each. That included a bus ride to Ft. Worth, beer (all one could drink) and lunch. Not to mention all the pot smoke one could inhale during the bus ride!

I have, had some good experiences with e-Bay, in the past. One incident, I never heard a response from and as far as I know, the person has never cashed my check. I got a helluva deal, on a Gretsch 6118 Anni. It not only came in the hardshell case but, the original shipping box! There wasn't so much as a speck of lint on that guitar. Since then, to sum it up, e-Bay, has gone to shit. My wife doesn't go near it anymore, either. By the way, do you hate snipers? Chuck

e-Bay, Sucks! A few years ago, when it was 'young', it was fun and, you could get some neat things. Now, it's a lot of fraud and just try to get through to whoever if, you have a complaint. Also, too many businesses on it whose starting bids for their items are 'list' prices anywhere else. I don't go near e-Bay anymore. To me, it's too many hustlers looking for suckers. I actually did a summer internship with FEMA while in college. Talk about a group on a shoestring budget! Sadly, they're underfunded and completely dominated by politics. But the people that work there are very dedicated to helping others and they go out of their way (often paying out of their own pocket) to do their jobs. I'll always see the people as a bunch of do-gooders with almost no resources to work with. They end up in the spotlight a lot because they always go to the scene, but often they come across as inept because they don't have the tools or money to do the job adequately. ________________________________________ Thank you, for the in-sight. That figures! Folks trying to really, do good but, politics and the media gotta mess it up. Chuck

I totally agree with Sparky and Skycat. Let a rigger do it! I know, folks are careful and it isn't that hard and all but, shit happens. I don't know of too many riggers who charge for removing a cypres. That Cypres, is a high dollar item. JMO. Chuck

It appears to me, the press and media promotes racism by always making a racial issue out of it. Either directly or subtly. I don't give a shit less if, the person who commits a heinous crime is purple with green spots. They are still a criminal and if, the crime warrants the death penalty... so be it! I've noticed that, the media is centering on New Orleans. Yeah, I know, it's a big, very popular city but, there are other cities and towns with devastation, dead and hurting. That many appliances, would've taken-up half or more of the space in that delivery truck. Then, to ask you to sign the delivery slip? I hope, they didn't un-load them at another residence!? I know, it's all quite annoying but, it's funny as hell at the same time.
