__________________________________ The FT-50 'yellow', is more of a shade of gold than yellow. That's just the way yellow comes-out when applied to the aluminum case. If, I'm not mistaken, it's a baked-on powder finish. Chuck

________________________________ One way to tell is: was the watch purchased from a store or was the seller working out of the trunk of his car? Chuck that's not always a way to tell either. The store may have bought from that guys trunk, jacked the price 15% and sold it to Clay _____________________________________ Yeah! I can see that. Tryin' to put an aire of 'ligitimacy' to the deal! Good point. You're always thinkin'. Chuck

___________________________________ I don't believe, they make a larger grommet than a #8. Those, seem to be standard today. In the past, I've seen smaller grommets used on sliders. The #8 seem to work quite well. With 'mini' links and slider bumpers, the slider grommets won't pass over them. With soft-links, they will. Chuck

I've been 'retired' from jumping for about 2-yrs. I enjoyed the jumping but, like Hook, I really don't miss the dz. I've been devoting week-ends to spending time with my wife. I still do the rigging thing and enjoy that. I've found other interests. Yes, I'm very happy. Chuck

Chuck Yeah, that means "my real good friend.." Of course, it's hard to maintain your comic timing when the only thing on your mind is Oreos and pork rinds, but in their off time..... Hell, Tommy Chong just got busted for selling cutsom made bongs on the internet. __________________________________________ Isn't that against the right of 'Free Enterprise'? I think, that answered my question! Chuck

__________________________________________ I think, you just like Christmas and all that goes with it! My wife is like that. Christmas and Hallowen are her two very favorite days of the year. 'Santa Claus is Watching You!' by Ray Stevens is good, too. Chuck

_________________________________ I've heard 2-different stories about Cheech and Chong. 1 - They didn't 'smoke' at all and 2 - They stayed swacked. They were still, funny. Cheech: "Hey, man!" "You wanna get along with these peope... call them 'pendejo'!" Chong: "Really, man?" Chuck

__________________________________________ 'Greensleeves'... un-doubtedly, my very favorite! I have several versions of 'Greensleeves' but, my favorite is a dobro solo by Mike Auldredge. Chuck

'Santa Claus is coming To town'... Cheech and chong! Chuck

_____________________________________ I've made several weight belts for folks and have found that Nylon para-pack works real good. As for padding, I use the same as what is used on leg-strap pads with para-pack backing. I get it through Parachute Equipment Co. in Virginia, as well as webbing. For the plastic hardware, I get that through local fabric stores. Chuck

___________________________________________ Yeah! Me too! Looks like we might be around for a long time! The way things keep changin'. Chuck

______________________________________ That is just too cool! Congrats to you and the proud mama! Chuck

Extra points if you can get her to blow milk out of her nose. Or her eye _____________________________________ pssst... I've been told, she's very sensitive about her eye. Chuck

I say 'Thanks' to you. I've learned a lot from reading your posts. There's been one or two others here too! That's what it's all about. Chuck

How much does it cost to failure test something

______________________________________ Years ago, a harness that I had sent to SSK, to replace the leg-straps, was forwarded to RWS. The leg-straps had been (previously) repaired by a local Master Rigger, who used 'FF' thread! I was never charged for the 'destructive test'. I would say, contact RWS. Chuck -
___________________________________ Several years ago, I had a dumb-ass boss like that! Just slam the reciever down when he was through using the inter-com. I wanted to strangle that ignorant S.O.B. with the phone cord! In your case, you might politely inform her of the release button and tell her that if she fails to use it... she'll be greeting folks at Wal-Mart! Chuck

Yea, but I know it now. Sparky ________________________________________ Weren't we told, when we got our 'tickets', that it was a 'license to learn'? When we quit learnin', that's when we get into trouble! Chuck
