This doesn't even rise to the level of being a myth. There is no such ridiculously inhuman ethic followed by BASE jumpers. Period. Not a slam against you, Chuck. ___________________________________ Yessir! I've assisted in repairing several rectal as well as vaginal prolapse cattle, over the years. Cows, can prolapse by simply lying down. I've seen cattle with both type at the same time. Chuck

Awareness is good, but given that the police are involved and that this situation is now receiving media coverage, it may be that amateur involvement is overkill. On the other hand, if anyone knows the other two people involved, that information would probably be most helpful. rl __________________________________________ This can be taken for what it's worth. Our local news, has been running a story about this situation and they continually make reference to the B.A.S.E. jumpers 'code of ethics', to 'not tell where a body is in the case of a death as a result of a B.A.S.E. jump'. To me, this is wrong. The family of this man needs to and has a right to know, where their son is. Dead or alive, they have a right to know. Witholding information is wrong, especially when worried parents are involved. It's too bad if, there may be a fine for trespassing. Whoever has information in regard to this matter, should do the right thing and step-up. Even if, it is done 'anonymously'. JMO Chuck

I've been saying this for years ! ____________________________________ The man who taught me rigging, wore an old baloon suit from the 70's. He wore it till he retired from skydiving in the mid-90's. He could stay-up with anyone in the sky. Mainly, in his own words; "I'm too cheap to buy a new jumpsuit!" He told me that if you know how to fly your body, a jumpsuit really, doesn't make a difference. I know, I just opened a can of worms here but, the man made a point. Chuck

That's good! At this point, it's best left to law enforcement. You're right on the mark about too many, messing up any evidence, tracks or whatever. Anyone with any information, should get it to the police. My prayers are with his family. Chuck

_______________________________________ When you get down to the nuts and bolts of it, no. You do not 'need' a jumpsuit to make a skydive. It's when you enter in to one of the various disciplines of the sport that, a jumpsuit becomes necessary. I'm going to avoid getting into the whole aerodynamics thing but, I'm just keeping it 'basic'. Hope, this helps. Chuck
