Anyone ever find parachute-related junk at yard sales?
masterrig replied to muff528's topic in The Bonfire
According to those parachutes they're wearing, she would make a 4-point landing and he'd make a 5-point landing! Chuck -
Maybe, an alternative would be make an 'open season' on gang bangers and cartels. That way, we'd be helping the government 'fight the war on drugs'! Chuck I'd support this. Give every rancher near the border a Gatling gun or other acceptable and dependable .50 cal fully automatic machine gun, maybe a grenade launcher too and plenty of ammo. Also, for those who own property on the border, give them a free supply of razor sharp barbed wire to put up along the border at the very least, but preferably around the perimeter of their property, to keep the fuckheads out and their homes/families safe. A rancher friend of mine told me, he'd like to see 'claymores'(sp?) set along the border... replace as needed! That's just one of many 'ideas' I've heard. All seriousness aside... We've got a definite problem with no 'real' answers. Until then, we need to get serious and quit the screwin' around!. Chuck

Yes ... I'm in favor of legalizing "dope". Just like we had to do with alcohol. The problem is analogous and so is the solution. Obviously, I'm not. Which drugs would you like to see legalized? Pot? Coke? Meth? Black-tar? All of them? Chuck For adults...why not? Would cut down on the crime associated with the drugs, at least to a degree. I suppose... adults can handle it better. I guess too, we'd have to legalize all of it. If, one or two aren't legalized then the crime problem would continue. Also, instead of raiding the ol' man's medicine cabinet, kids could hit his 'stash'. I just don't know. Maybe, an alternative would be make an 'open season' on gang bangers and cartels. That's what you get when you outlaw a naturally occurring substance. You increase the risk, you attract risk-takers, and you attract the BIG MONEY. I read the article and Wachovia and any other bank laundering dope money should be put away so far, daylight would have to be pumped to them!!! I've heard all the arguements for legalizing dope and how alchoholic beverage prohibition failed and blah, blah, blah... It's bad enough, the public has to deal with drunks. The cost involved to 'sober-up' an alchoholic. Legalizing dope would increase the cost of cleaning-up dopers. The problem is, the demand in this country for cocaine, heroin, pot, meth and all the rest. What about the effects on family members or every day citizens? Just because some self-centered doper has to get their fix. Chuck unfortunatly in todays society the attitude seems to be 'if its difficult to fight and takes time then lets give up'. Suits the dope heads and the sad idiots who have no backbone, I think, that's called 'instant gratification'. Whatever it is, it's a sorry statement. The dopers have this attitude that by legalizing it, everything will be just fine. The prices will go down and the government can just tax it and everyone's happy. I don't believe, it's all that simple. Will legalizing it suddenly make the cartels go away and all the 'gang-bangers' go away? The crooks will find some way to profit and lives will continue to get screwed-up but the dope-heads will have their fix. It's all about 'them'. Chuck

I'm not saying, prohibit booze. We tried that once before. I'm getting the idea, you are in favor of legalising dope?! Might be futile, to you but dopers ARE the damned problem. If, the dopers didn't demand the shit, we wouldn't have the problem. Well, they are criminals. It's basic... dope is illegal. You call my arguement weak? Nevermind... Chuck

Happy treasonous bastards and terrorists day everyone

How very fucking kind of you to think of us! Chuck -
Yeah we know. Perhaps when they start launching rockets at civilian areas in San Diego and El Paso and blowing themselves up in discos on Santa Monica Blvd and in New York Oh, so you're ok with them shooting US citizens, and importing drugs that kill thousands in the US every year. Not to mention the damage to the US economy that illegals perptrate. Well thanks for clearing that up. I suppose you'd have the US just give Texas to Mexican criminals. Well actually on the TEJAS issue The drug cartels are filling a need some people have to FUCK THEMSELVES UP. People dealing and drugging are in a high risk activity that can get you fucked up in many ways. I think you MIGHT have seen a post or two I have made on illegals.... but shooting them on sight.... nah don't think that is a very good way to go... It is getting serious along the Texas/Mexico border. Cartels are showing their presence in little Texas border towns. School busses are being followed, drug cartel members are showing-up at high school games and etc. Newspapers and T.V. news channels have been and are being threatened. I'm putting it mildly! All this, just because some dope-head has to have their fix! The dope-heads want their 'recreational drugs' legalized and have all kinds of reasons why that shit should be legalized and blah, blah, blah... The bottom line is, innocent people are being murdered just so some folks can get a buzz. Recently, we've had too much dope smuggling right through where I live. There is a constant Border Patrol presence here and I live about 90-miles from the border. The dopers don't care... just as long as they get their fix. Chuck

Lots of immigration talk. Here is a question
masterrig replied to dgskydive's topic in Speakers Corner
I agree. But I also know that employers looking for cheap labor will hire these illegals whenever possible to do the work that we legal americans probably wouldn't think of doing. You bet! Thinking back, In my younger years, I DID some of those jobs that some folks won't do now. You know what the problem is? Those folks who won't do certain jobs, just haven't been hungry enough. I've stocked grocery shelves, swept floors in a truck garage, worked in warehouses, mucked stalls and some others. Chuck Know why they are not "hungry enough"? Because and entitlement generation has seen to it there are enough governmental agencies to bail out deadbeats. True enough. We're a spoiled, wasteful nation of people. I'm not saying everyone here is like that but we do have enoughto get our attention. Chuck -

I really don't see it either. Those folks (illegals) are so afraid of getting caught, they aren't going to do anything they feel will get them sent back to their country. I think, too many politicians have to many 'pie-in-the-sky' hopes. Chuck -

They'll be voting if we give them amnesty... That's what they are hoping for. Wouldn't surprise me if, our sorry politicians will do it too. Just for their own personal gain. Chuck -

masterrig replied to dgskydive's topic in Speakers Corner
I wouldnt say that. They do vote. Another illegal thing that they do. No right to vote if they arent a citizen. A lot of them do vote...using someone elses info to register. They vote for politicians that are going to make it easy for them to stay here. I AM enlightened! Thank you. In so many words, politicians are hoping the illegals will illegally vote for them. To think, we actually vote for these jerks! I have refused in the past to vote for any politician who is 'soft' on illegals. I don't see where I'm going to change my thinking. Chuck -

It only takes a will to do so. You're right! The problem is, the politicians with 'strong ties' to big business. After all, it's the politicians who have the control. -

The sad part is, there are laws on the books covering just what you said... they just aren't 'strictly enforced'. Chuck -
I know, that's right! Chuck

masterrig replied to dgskydive's topic in Speakers Corner
I don't understand that thinking by politicians. Illegals are not going to vote... period! They will do anything to avoid being tracked-down and sent back home. To them, voting leaves a 'paper trail'. Besides, illegals don't give a crap about voting or our politics, they just want all they can get and not be found. Chuck -
I don't recall the news story mentioning any of that. It stands to reason that in high concentrations of crude, you don't want to be around it very long. Thanks! Chuck
-
That makes a lot of sense. Thanks! Chuck

I read where, folks cleaning-up all that sludge, are only allowed to work 10-minutes out of each hour, according to 'federal regulations'. Do you know if that's true or just some more antics by the media? Chuck
-
I like tacos. Tacos are good. Illegals are not. Why the fuck to you guys need troops... You got enuff crazies down there just lookin to shoot anyone.. even little old 87 year old ladies in their own beds.....I would have thougt yall were well enough armed ..... all home grown TEXICANS.... plus yall have some history with those folks already.... We're just trying to even the odds. We got out-numbered once before. I was just reading a letter to the editor of our local newspaper. In that letter, a local rancher who had a 'laundry list' of offences comitted by illegals including, vandalism, theft, slaughter of his cattle, and so-on to his home and property. Folks here are just fed-up with what's going on down here. Chuck

Can it really be chili if there is not a little bit of armadillo meat in there? ...or rattlesnake! According to the Texas rules of chili cook-off, only 'meat'. No real specification as to which kind. Armadillo is most often eaten 'on the half-shell'. Chuck DAYUM.... I prefer my snake steaks deep fried the way granny used to make em!!

Like I told Bill, I'm more of a 'purist' when it comes to chili but, that doesn't mean that someone else might want to do something different. It's those little 'differences' that keep things interesting. Chuck
