In PRCA rodeos, the only event involving women is, barrel racing. The rough-stock events are only men, as are tie-down roping, steer wrestling and team roping. In some of the minor rodeoes, women are involved in break-away roping and team roping. It's just the way rodeo has evolved. In PRCA events, barrel racing pays just as good as rough stock events. Some of these events are held outside the major rodeos and involve women and some events like 'mutton bustin' ' involve kids. Some good money can be made... if, you're good enough! Chuck

Just you wait. The way the population is going, we'll get to know what it's like to be the minority. Chuck

Love that show! Chuck Tonight they are supposaed to have the Cajun Bevis and Butthead get old and move to the swamp brothers on agin.... Just listen to em.. Oh, I will! Those two ol' boys are a hoot! I've noticed something about them... they seem to do real good without I-phones, video games, cell-phones and all those other gadgets. Chuck Hey.. they still have that Mercury on the back of the boat..... but I think they need a good ole 3" diameter 15 to 20 foot cypres push pole. My grandaddy taught me how to pick out just the right tree to take for one of those when I was about 10 years old. They do not break down or run outta gas That's true! Your Grand-dad taught you right! Did he teach you how to 'choot', too? Chuck Oh hell yeah.... although mom was a better shot... but it was grand dads guns we all learned on. 7 years old and I was a hell of a shot with that little .22. At age 12 I got to shoot his double barrel 12 gauge. I still own those weapons.. all the boy cousins... seemed uninterested in that old stuff back there in the 1960's when he passed. Mom hung on to them for me till I was 18. The shotgun I disabled and removed the firing pin.. it was one of the very first with everything inside back in the 1880's. I have also left the stock the way it was.. with wood filler in the termite eaten portion at the bottom of the stock from the old family homestead near Sanford FL. What a good-good story! My Dad taught me to shoot his .410 when I was about 8. When I was 13, he let me use his .35 Remington to hunt deer. Got my first deer with that rifle, that year! My Mom taught me to shoot a bow when I was 8 or 9. My uncle (my Dad's kid brother) gave me a lemonwood bow and a dozen cedar arrows that he had made, for Christmas when I was 13. I later moved-up to a recurve and when Bear Archery introduved their line of compounds, I got an Alaskan and a Tamerlane. I still have the .410 and the .35 as well as the two compounds. The lemonwood bow got lost somehow over the years. I have been fortunate enough to increase my collection of fire arms over the years. Chuck

Did they have to pass a heterosexual test before they could get on that load? The test: [url]http://www.youtube.com/watch? Classic! Chuck

I think you're just being deliberately obtuse at this point. Team sports involve more than the actual game. Teams travel together, share rooms on the road, socialize with each other, they know each others SO's. So you just won't admit it's the enhanced fashion sense. Fine, be that way. Those tight shiney pants that football players wear? Maybe, it's the quarterback putting both hands in the center's crotch? Maybe, it's a good, tight end? Chuck

But whuffo those gay people be having rodeos for? 'cus they can! Chuck
-
I have no idea if there ia a 'gay' way of throwing a football, etc. There was a pro football player who 'quit' playing a few years ago because some of his team members found-out he was gay and the player said that things got pretty bad after that so he quit. Just take a minute and think about it. Big time athletic teams, overly-macho guys... Chuck

One thing about that trial that really caught my attention, was the 'big' show with the dried-up, blood soaked glove that didn't fit! C'mon, gimme a break! Of course it didn't fit... it had been soaked in blood and shrunk-up after it dried. DUH... leather! That was no trial, it was nothing more than a carnival. Chuck

I think, you answered the question in your previous post in this thread. It might sound cold but it's a fact of life... gays aren't easily accepted in major sports... football, basketball, baseball, hockey or rodeo. Chuck
-
...or prison rodeos. I would venture a guess, different people are interested in it and they form their own. No big deal Maybe, they are taking a stand against PETA!? Chuck
-
I couldn't think of another word to differentiate between the two and I'm not the 'PC' type. Do we think of rodeo as gay? Chuck
-
Probably, for the same reason there are 'straight' rodeos... the money! Have you ever checked-out the winnings in PBR or PRCA? It ain't chump change! Then too, it might be they don't feel they would be accepted in the 'straight' rodeo world. Who knows. They're having fun and not hurting anyone... except for the occasional getting stomped on by a bull! Chuck

Crack down on Employers who Hire Illegals

One big problem we have with illegals pouring into this country, is the number of drug runners, gangsters, gangster-wannabes and various other criminals. This information comes from Border Patrol Agents I know in the area where I live. It's not just here, it's all along the border. To allow the 'good ones' in, the Border Patrol has to sort through all those they apprehend. A generalization that they are all good and only wanting to do good for these United states is a mis-conception. Sure, there are some like that but the fact is, there are too many sneaking into this country who do not have 'good intentions'. Also, where are we going to put tens of thousands who enter this country illegally? We're losing farm and ranch land, by the thousands of acres, on a daily basis due to urban sprawl. There won't be the wide-open spaces in this country,we enjoy, now. Chuck -

Other than the fact that they're *still* illegals? I don't understand why so many people have a problem with that concept!? Illegal is illegal, no matter how you slice it. Too many, skirt and skoff our immigration laws and that's a problem! Chuck -
