It appears to me, that the internet has played right into the politician's hands. Back when people would march and protest and publicly display their dis-approval of what our politicians were or were not doing and actually made progress. Now, we all gather on some internet discussion page and present all our theories, graphs, polls and charts and vent our anger toward each other. When it comes time to present our anger and dis-approval to the politicians, we're too tired-out and our hands hurt from firing-off posts to some web-site. Meanwhile, the politicians go about their business of doing whatever they do and the American public is physically drained because of their mis-directed anger and protestations. It's all like pissing your pants in a dark suit... it feels good and noone notices. Chuck That may be true for many however My reps get very tired of hearing from me That's the way it should be! Keep it up... we need more like you. I've written my reps. and never, so much as a 'squeak' in response. I feel good though, that I contacted them directly. Chuck I get a reply from all of them all the time except Harkin will ignore me once in a while I guess mine are just too busy or figure if, they ignore me... Chuck I have a feeling you will not go away Too danged hard-headed, I guess! Chuck

Twas a mere crumpet. You are the sharp cookie! Stick a fork in me... I'm done! Chuck
-
Au contrer! You, on the other hand, have truly risen above mere trivial crumbs of others and the proof is the frosting on the cake. No matter how you slice it. Chuck
-
I think, you panned it rather well and I'm not trying to butter you up or spread it on thick, either. Chuck

We should rise to the occasion! Chuck

Knead him back to life! Chuck

...and they make the big bucks, too! Chuck

Cities should put a big sign at the entrance to their parks and playgrounds stating: 'Users of this park/playground assumes all risks and is responsible for themselves and their children!' I'd be willing to bet, noone would use the parks or playgrounds. People have come to expect someone else to take care of them when they get hurt. Chuck

Yes! Of course! Why else would you have it? Well, some people jump with a reserve only because the dz requires it. ...and the FAA. Chuck You can always use an emergency rig for an observer ride, with no intention of jumping. Overcome with panic when the door opens and people perform a mass evacuation of the aircraft, it is only natural that you should use the certificated safety equipment to get out of the airplane (that is most likely broken). Imagine your amazement when the plane lands in one piece. It's a mistake anyone could make, and the regs do not forbid such misunderstandings. Correct. They are only observers not intending to jump. It has also happened where a videographer has gotten on and jumped from an aircraft without a parachute. I understand that poo-poo happens and I'm sure, the FAA considers that aspect. Chuck

Yes! Of course! Why else would you have it? Well, some people jump with a reserve only because the dz requires it. ...and the FAA. If reserves were not required by any officials, DZ, FAA or otherwise, what percentage of skydivers do you think would regularly skydive without one? Answer honestly. My guess is the percentage would be pretty freakin' low. My guess is the overwhelming number of people in the sport wouldn't have made their first skydive at all if they knew they didn't have a reserve. Now, answer honestly, why do you think that is? I would have to agree with you! I'm sure, because I've known one or two, there are some 'penny pinchers' who if, they were not required by anyone to wear two parachutes during an intentional jump, would not own a reserve. I'm sure too, 'ego' would enter into the equation, also. Chuck

You make a good point and I can agree with you. I firmly believe in our right 'to keep and bear arms'. Where I live, we get a lot of drug and human smuggling. Carrying a firearm is like you said... about the same as keeping a first-aid kit or tools in your pick-up tool box. Also, I'm in a rural part of the country and don't rely on a big city to take care of me. I can take care of myself and if, the time arises where I need a firearm... I've got it. Just like the first-aid kit or the tools in the tool box of my pick-up. Dialing 911 out here would take too long. I am also, very aware of the responsibility of carrying a firearm. Chuck

Grooooan! Those are so bad... I had to laugh. I know what you were aiming for... Chuck

It sure is. Depending on how many offers$$$ he gets for that Phone from colllectors etc. No telling what kind of crap is going to start falling from the sky We saw a nice young lady drop her Iphone type from ear height to the asphalt parking lot The sound of the phone going in on ashalt was a sound I"ll never forget. The owner was in tears. I had nightmares day and night. The I phone type was in lots of pieces. Front of case over there, back of case in the opposite direction and other phone parts were visable in the general area. I didn't want to get to close to look The crowd was Oouuuch! Chuck
-
That's a heckuva testimonial for that type phone! Chuck

Really? I think anybody that says they're not afraid of anything actually is fooling themselves. There's an old saying; 'Never let the other guy know your weaknesses.' Chuck
