Good way to get more revenue. That little extra for the 'county' sticker adds-up. Chuck

I've wondered about leaving outdoor or garage lights on all night. Doesn't that help the 'bad guy' to see better, what he's after? Chuck

Oh, c'mon! Texas also has license plate for wild flower lovers, animal lovers, lizard lovers, various universities in Texas, Purple Heart, military veterans, Knights of Columbus and so-on and so on. As long as the plate is not deemed obscene or inciteful, it's hunky dory! I don't believe any of the U.S. States allow '4-Q' or 'KILTHPRES'' or something like that. To twist this issue into some taliban like movement is a little over-board. Chuck

I've read where GE has really climbed onto the 'climate' bandwagon. I don't mind a 'change' but when the govt. steps-in and is basically forcing people to buy something, I don't like it. Especially when one corporation stands to profit, I smell a rat. It smells of under the table dealings between the government and big business. If, both types of bulbs are left so people can make a choice, great! I like being able to make a choice. Chuck

Phillips makes a lot of light bulbs too. I'm wondering if these manufacturing companies have already been forced to invest in millions of dollars of new manufacturing equipment for the forced change-over, which now might not actually happen? Have hardware stores invested millions in inventory of new bulbs that the public will now not buy? Both of which will drive up the consumer prices, causing consumers to collectively spend millions more for bulbs. This is good example of how government edicts cost everyone a lot of money. Sounds to me like someone capitalizing off the 'climate crisis' thing. Chuck

I had the good fortune to work for a fuel and oil distributor, owned by a remarkable man. He was a WWII vet, a Naval officer. He started-out as the company accountant before the war. He wound-up being the CEO. He could meet you for the first time and you might not see him for months after but he remembered your name the next time he saw you. We had medical & dental insurance, we got raises, every three months as well as 'safety bonuses'. His business theory was, treat your help right and they'll do you a good job. Give good service and customers will be back. Shortly before I left the company, he retired and his step-son took over the business. Almost immediately, wages were cut, dental insurance was cut, raises and safety bonuses ceased. Hands quit and new hires started at minnimum wage. Long time customers went elswhere. Company branches were closed. With-in two years, the step-son sold-out! The new owners were the same as him. The company is still there but no where near what it was. I earned a lot from that. Chuck

The Walton's took $26 from me yesterday morning. In return they gave me a jump drive and some audio cabling. You don't want spin? You're entire posts are spin! So...what you are really saying is that you took a jump drive and some audio cabling away from the Walton family. Leaving them a few bits of paper makes it all OK? You, sir have stolen solid, material possessions from that family and ought to be ashamed of yourself. There's a stretch! Chuck

The fish really, really like his bait. OTOH, he's really, really good at it! He's the Shah of SC! Good, solid, response-provoking keyboarding. He comes across as extremely arrogant yet condescending and if you let him, he can really push the right buttons. I really think, he's actually a 1%er but putting-up a front as to the opposite. I find him quite amusing. I recall a time when 1%ers were outlaw bikers! Chuck

Life is a big game... ya' gotta be a playah! Chuck You sir, have got the right of that. Sometimes, I get lucky... and I'll take luck over skill, any day! Chuck

It's O.K.! You'll feel like that at first then you'll realize that the problem is not you. Hang tough... you can do this. Chuck

What's really amazing is, the way he ducks and dodges a direct question like a prize-fighter. Still, folks respond to him. I don't understand. Chuck

Paris Hilton enterprises have generated millions in sales (tv shows, luxury goods, porn). No question she got a leg up to start, but she's not been sitting back living off the inheritance. I can't figure out the fascination with the Kardiashian family, but it appears that they created the marketplace for their sordid life, much like that Tila Tequila created something out of myspace fame. It's the American way, no? Hardly different from Hollywood fame. Ahh! Paris is off the hook, then. The Kardashians are famous for being famous. Bruce Jenner just gets the scraps. In an interview with Barbara Walters, Ms. Walters said; "None of you can sing, dance or act... you have no talent!" One of the Kardashian girls responded with; 'We are just being ourselves. People want to see us and how we live. It's hard... it's difficult!' Say WHAT? You gotta be kiddin' me! It's amazing but you're right... it's the American way! It's nuts! Chuck

Chuck by denying it you put yourself in the racist camp then. we can all draw our own conclusions... What is fun about this is YOU can draw your own conclusions or delusions which ever it may be Heavy on the delusions. Chuck -

That's voluntary behaviour by the financial insitutions. The claim here relates to forced lending practices, which really only relates to the CRA. Oh, o.k. For some reason, I thought, I saw a similarity... thanks. Chuck -
