Has anyone else been watching the croc hunter marathon on Animal Planet tonight? I've been napping and trying to get rid of a summer cold. Steve's sayings on the show fit so great for skydiving stories and drop zone shenanagins...Just throw them into every day conversation to spice things up!

you see, i am cursed with an obnoxiously large noggin - a "horse head" if you will. i'd love to find a good skydiving helmet that fits me...some will fit around, but my head is too tall and the lower edge of the helmet clips my ears. thank god it is proportional to my body! -
1 large box of little chocolate donuts consumed sunday : 12 : 0 what a nice weekend! spent most of friday recovering from a moby/paul oakenfold thursday night; spent most of saturday recovering from a late night drive then drinking session; spent most of sunday recovering from staying up till 7am to take a friend to the airport (the big, non-dz type of airport)

yeah i'm pretty anal about chest straps too. i'll yank on mine multiple times in the plane, and i always take a good look at the strap of everyone on my load and within eyeshot. besides, this way if a woman catches me staring at her chest i say "i was just double checking everyone's chest strap" and get away with it! b

my friends had a fuzzy cat named "velcro" - i suppose it could work for a fuzzy dog too! velcro is no longer. died. very sad. "just sitting at my computer, reading dz.com forums, petting my pussy...cat" b

i've had some classy ones, that is for sure. one of my favorites that was caught on video is this: was doing night jumps, and i was coming up about 20 yards short of the peas (call it night vision, winds changing, skill, something like that) and my surf took me right over one of the taxi ways. i had put one of my feet down (wearing tevas) and the rubber from the sandal sounded exactly like a plane touching down!

holy cow! did he see the bird hit? from the 4th picture, i probably wouldn't have noticed if i was him. then again, my car is a piece of crap so the bird would have probably gone right thru my radiator and into the engine block. o well... blue skies, birdie... b

thank god for 4 day weekends! i wish i could have made more jumps... 7:1:0 i had a great 4th of july in DC, and made it out to sd orange for one jump saturday afternoon. dove and MiataDRM - where were you??? i made one ff jump with a local named xeon (sp?) it was fun. gorgeous dz out there. hope everyone had a safe one! b

i know this happens, cause a guy from work is going to get married next saturday, and they are *exactly* like the couple in this article! funny! the guy gets so flustered whenever we make sex jokes. they are both from small town iowa (nothing against iowa here) and they are so textbook it makes me laugh. o well what ever makes them happy!

OK get this! monday i come home from work to find an email flight itenerary for ME from kansas city to WASHINGTON DC in my inbox! couldn't believe it. so i find out an old ex wanted me to come out and visit over the 4th of july weekend. and also wanted to spend one day at SD orange! i am so excited i have not been out that way yet. anyhow if the naked sd orange folks are the same naked sd orange folks that i've met at the past couch freaks, i know it will be a good time!

welcome to the sport! don't sweat your size, it is good to see another big guy around! we fall fast, and i love falling with fast (we're *fast-ies* not *fatties*) people, it requires a lot less effort on staying big and more time spent having fun! i did my first tandem when i was 6'5" and 255 pounds. my instructor was cool with giving me a tandem, but wanted me at 220 pounds for aff. so i dropped the weight. now that i've graduated, bought my 210 sqft canopy, and moved away from my home home dz, i can put the weight back on...it's a cheaper way to get high speed landings out of my canopy (much cheaper than downsizing

most beautiful dz view i've seen was sunset loads at mile high in colorado - awesome view of the mountains! what about nastiest? up in wisconsin i was at one dz that was just north of a waste water treatment plant...i looked down on my approach directly into giant vats of shitfilled water. BLECH!

this is going to sound dumb, but you'd be amazed at how often it works for me at home and at work. *hit it* then *hit it* again! i swear, this is how i fix tv's, my car, my computer, and co-worker's computers. i've dealt with a few pesky power supplies...if it is an ATX motherboard (the motherboard controlling the PSU) then there is a definate possibility that it is a problem on the board, or maybe re-seating all of the cards would fix it. if it is an AT motherboard (older style, but my personal favorite, the power supply turns on and stays on when the power button is pressed) and you are having this problem, then it is DEFINATELY a problem with the PSU or your wire to the wall. i like dealing with AT power supplies more because they are so much easier to troubleshoot. good luck! b
