it's not all about schmoozin...you gotta put in a handful of guilt too if you want the best results (guilt works best in catholic families) I got off pretty easy. Sure i'm bailing out after opening presents on the 25th, but my mom is ditching me over thanksgiving to go on a trip with her sister. We've done weird Christmases before, but NEVER missed thanksgiving. No turkey for Billo? Unacceptable!!! So i just guilt-tripped her on that one and she soon had no problem with my departure time to Eloy... good luck! b

0:0:0 *yawn* just a lazy cloudy weekend here! Got 3rd place in a poker tourney friday night, and saw one of my fav bands "legendary pink dots" last night. No complaints! Now i just gotta get off my lazy butt and get my main & reserve packed before my SL-I course next weekend!

Hey Adam! Welcome to the dark side! CReW rocks. Listen to everything your instructors have to say and love every minute of it. You'll learn more about your canopy than you ever imagined. Mismatched canopies can be cool if things are planned VERY carefully, but it may still fly like shit. 2 stacks are do-able, but it will get hairy when you have a 6 stack made up of various 7 cells, 8 cells, and ellipticals. For the time being, let's not worry about that! You could spend a good evening reading up on the posts and all the links that you'll find in this forum. There is some quality stuff. I think this forum has a pretty small audience on dz.com so any posting/activity is more than welcomed! I don't mind Prodigys - that's what I learned on. If you have someone else to do some good safe learning with who has a Prodigy that'd be my first bet. If nobody else has one i'm sure we'll figure out a way to make it work. Again, welcome to the dark side!!!

I got my Parachutist yesterday, but where is my Vicki's catalog??!! YEAH BUDDY! Count me in! Is the 2 year degree just called "nuclear medicine"? There are no pre-reqs or anything like that? I already have an engineering degree, so i can handle the physics and calculus even though i wouldn't enjoy taking any of it again. But sounds like a good deal!

So something exciting DID happen tonight after all! Some friends wanted to call up and go see the flick. If you like the show, you'll like the movie. If you don't like the show, don't bother! I thought it was hilarious! If anyone goes to see it, make sure you stick around to see the "reminder - don't do this at home" deal...a LOT goes on after the credits roll! LOL i usually only laugh that hard when tracking away on good skydives! "you see how i deflected that beanbag with my chest? That's natural instinct. You can't teach that." b

I wish there was more going on tonight! I've considered putting on my costume for the trick or treaters, but that sounds like a lot of work for only getting one or two kids coming by...i don't even know what time they are supposed to show up at! Here's my pics from last weekend - we won 1st place in the costume competition!!! You can see me on the far right side of the stage behind the DJ (you know, i'm the one in the purple jacket.) This is the first set I've had emailed to me, i'm hoping for one where you can actually see my costume! "candy is dandy but liquor is quicker!" b

Yeah Ag i saw it and enjoyed it. A buddy from work lent it to me last year on VHS. Definitely a DVD i wouldn't mind finding in my stocking this year! I only watched it once, so sorry, can't do any quoting wars with you! b

Speaking of "mike's," has anyone else seen the "evil head" commercial for mike's hard iced tea!? LOL it is sooo funny! Remember that scene in that movie "the abyss" where the guy's ring saved his life when he was in that big underwater thing, AFTER he had tried to flush it down the toilet and his hand got all blue??? Lesson 1: Don't stick your hand in a toilet, or put a ring in it for that matter Lesson 2: Don't flush it, cause it could save your life. wait... Who the hell am i kidding?!?! 7 (oompa loompas) : 4 : 0 jumps were good but the best was saturday night - i got to be willy wonka and 7 other cf's were oompa loompas! We rocked every bar we went to! Won $200 and a 2 hour limo ride for 1st place costumes at the bar, so it helped pay for the costumes and we're planning a big party in November! i'll post pics when i get them - did anyone else go as something good for halloween? OOMPAS ROCK!
