Trump releases birth certificate to Bill Maher, demands $5M
DiverMike replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
I don't have an orangutan in this fight, but wouldn't be easier to prove orangutan's aren't capable of reproducing with humans, and don't have legal rights to adopt children, so Trump's dad can't be an orangutan? I know Mahr was trying to demonstrate you usually can't prove a negative, but if The Donald submits his DNA and it shows no orangutan genes in it, wouldn't that prove the negative? Or The Donald could get a clue and realize it was a comedian making a joke and not a legitimately binding offer. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board. -

Poll I saw on another site and thought I would post it here,

Just wondering. If you have the time, could you please tell me the following: Jump frequency -60 a year (would like more) Total jumps to date - 240 License - USPA C Distance to DZ of choice - 15 minutes from Work Occupation - IT Executive (seeing a pattern - lot of IT People Skydive) Age - 54 Marital status - Married Number of children - 5 (I got busy -
To date, the FAA involvement in skydiving has fortunately been at a glacial pace. A single demo gone wrong where a spectator holding a baby gets killed by a skydiver would change that. Most of the general public feels skydivers have a death wish anyway. I don't think they genuinely care if a dead body is left in a cornfield for a week For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

We will probably remain 'under their radar' as long as we are only killing ourselves and not the general public. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

Not sure my comments were worthy of a personal attack. I gave Edgardo credit for standing behind his work - he is just nearly impossible to contact. He produces a good product - his customer service is horrible. I have purchased almost all of my equipment on DZ.Com or EBAY and have not had a single problem until I bought an EG Suit. nice picture, but I got chastised in another forum for not using the politically correct term "Flight attendant". The picture also leaves little doubt the "flight attendant" is a stewardess, but that is 10 letters. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

A great American is being fondly remembered in this thread and that is what you come up with? For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

He doesn't communicate very well. He doesn't return phone calls or emails. When you finally do get hold of him, he stands behind his work. I bought a new suit from him that totally shredded apart on the 2nd jump. After several months of trying to contact him and getting no response, he finally responded and allowed me to return the suit and gave me full purchase price credit on another suit (+1). I sent him my measurements and the new suit is 2" too long. He told me to try it on and send it back for adjustment if it didn't fit. I tried several times to contact him by phone and email and got no response (-1). He seems like a nice guy who is trustworthy and stands behind his product. He is just lousy at returning phone calls or emails. I gave up trying to have him fix my second suit. YMMV. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

wow - I wouldn't have figured such detailed analytical responses concerning an ARGUS fire on a Racer. This thread is completely missing conspiracy theories and manufacturer bashing.

Yes, but I am a crotchety old man. Calling flight attendants stewardesses is probably the least offensive anachronism I still use. On a side note, are men who have the same authority and perform the same duties on an ocean going vessel still called stewards, or is that also inappropriate? For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

When dealing with any part of flight operations, I will certainly give them the same respect as a LEO. They are performing duties as a member of the flight crew and have the full weight and authority of the Federal government behind them. When performing the role of a waitress, I will give them the same level of respect as I do waitresses (which in all honesty in my instance is a high level of respect). 'Waitress in the sky' is part of the job description. It is not the FAA defined part of the job description - it is the privately run company providing good customer service part. I am not a jerk to either stewardesses or waitresses. I agree stewardesses are not just waitresses, but when performing the role of waitress, they should be a good waitress (and/or waiter). Apparently, by law they cannot just print 10 billion hundred dollars bills and put them into circulation. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

I agree we can never get that Genie back in the bottle. Once you give the federal government power, it is near impossible to take it back. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

I was a competitive diver in college. In 1980, I had the same list a Greg Louganis (he just did his dives much better). The hardest thing for me to get used to was continuing to arch when approaching 90 degrees to the planet if I left the plane head down. All my diving training convinced my body to just tuck up and forward somersault to get stable. I did that a couple times during AFF and got chewed out for it. +1 A little like the story where the mother, father, and son drowned trying to save a dog in the ocean. The only survivor was the dog. http://calcoastnews.com/2012/11/mother-father-and-son-drown-trying-to-rescue-dog/ I might be considered selfish, but it is more important to me that by children have a father than risking my life on the subway tracks with a stranger. By whose definition or decision? Are you able to read the mind of the property owner to determine if he just doesn't want a lot a property for his favorite cow to be comfortable? I know I am being a little ridiculous, but tax valuation is pretty black/white. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.
