I've used it maybe once or twice in 150 wingsuit jumps... and they were fairly close to when I was first starting.. helps with being able to kick out of line twists..

don't have any experience with a spectre loaded at 1.7 but I think the spectre is better than a stilleto for wingsuit... but that's just one opinion. As others have said 1.7 is a little heavy high on the loading.. SM1 would probably be better to ask, he jumps a small canopy... not sure what his loading is

huh? roomier than it looks was the one I saw.. am I missing something ?

it included a lot of specalized equipment, etc.. i believe it was priced "good for everything that was required" but still a little expensive for one jump in my mind.. you had to have bailout bottles, masks, helmets, etc..

was the 30K jump the one that was reasonably priced, or was it the one that was like 350 or 400 bucks?

I know we hear about all the fatalities, and some of the injuries.. was wondering if anyone out there kept statistics on # of cutaways during the convention? Also curious about total jump #s and stuff like that as well, i'm sure that stuff takes time to tally up though.

I second that, I don't mind waiting atall but I don't like to be told something over and over again that isn't true.

I'm pretty sure the wingsuit footage was an actual base jump from that building as well.. though i've been known to be wrong.

i've done it numerous times too, not an issue.

yes that is the new canopy, i heard it was only pd factory jumpers demoing them at WFFC and that they would be for sale "at the end of the season" (which makes little sense to me but okay)

Okay just got off the phone with Cathy... she said aerostore @ rantoul had 6 of them (or has 6 of them) so either they sold them all or they're pulling your leg :) as for mine, she said the black and white ones (all the black and white ones) are going out today and monday.. and that the rest of the colors would start shipping on tuesday.. something about miscommunication with the people who were putting them together... we'll see...

I seem to be the pain in alti's butt, I keep calling them -- they tell me one thing, it falls through I call them, they tell me another it falls through, etc.. i called the CEO yesterday twice, I think he recognized my name because i was put on hold then the person came back and said "he was in a meeting" and would have to call me back, he hasn't called me back. I have a voicemail on my computer from 07/02/03 with cathy from alti-2 saying that they were shipping that day... which was obviously not true. I talked to Roger (CEO) 07/30 before they were heading off to rantoul, he said "as far as we are concerned they are finished, they are jumping them at deland and we are taking them to rantoul for the dealers" I was like so you're shipping them from rantoul? He told me the dealers who had orders that were at rantoul would get them - I informed him I was not going to rantoul so when should I expect mine? He said all the other dealers who were not at rantoul should have their orders by 08/04/03. My dealer hasn't seen anything as of 08/07/03. I will call again today and post if I find anything constructive.

*hug* rhino hang in there -- i'm a firm believer everything happens for a reason.. it hurts but pops left us doing something he loved. I *THINK* I may have met him when I went to Holly's funeral, we went to Tecumseah to do a memorial jump for Holly and I think he was talking to me about my wingsuit (he hadn't seen one before). if someone had a picture it would be nice.. BSBD
