Well I think even if it were at normal jump plane cost, it still would be something cool - one of those unique jumpships that is a "specialty" aircraft for boogies..

Speaking of jet jumps - I heard about this new jet from eclipse aviation called the Eclipse 500, evidentally this thing is going to change the way people travel -- affordable "air limo" service and whatnot... the plane brand new is $837,500 which if what I hear is true, that is cheaper than a twin otter? It will cost about $.56 a mile to operate (so they say) has two small jet engines that only weigh like 85 lbs each. It has an all glass cockpit which looks SWEET here I dont' know how well the exit would work as the door is right in front of the wing pic here It seats 4 people (with seats) so i'm guessing what, 8 - 10 without seats? What do you guys thing (especially those in the "know") could this be A) converted to a jump-plane, B) be affordable for a jump plane? Check out the press release here Kevin

yeah its working now.. strange.. i tried it numerous times and reproduced the same results.. oh well are you working on the forums right now? Every once in a while it pops up with the forums are down for maintinance and I hit reload and it works fine.. Kevin

Hey gimmie a break, I cutaway a girlfriend, had to find a new job, find a new place to live, AND deal with the USPS to get my mail forwarded (which is turning out to be the hardest thing out of all my troubles), I'm going through training to be a cop and I'm a full time student, my time is a LITTLE sucked up right now

I didn't make it to the WFFC this year but I THOUGHT I heard they pulled the jet off this year. I went and looked at the website today and there are copies of letters posted in reference to the 727 and the connie both cancelling for the WFFC. Were they NOT there? Kevin

Perhaps I need to get more familar with my gear as well. I thought BOC stood for bottom of container, meaning the POUCH the pilot chute is in (and it's location).. the actual "chute you hand deployed" is the pilot chute -- correct? That was how I was taught, of course I was taught in Mississippi and everyone knows things are done differently down there

Humm.. now that just doesn't seem possible.. BTW i remember hearing some genious hooking up the rockets they used to launch aircraft off carriers to his car, set the thing off and realized he couldn't shut it off and ended up wrecking his car or ripping his bumper off or something.. i wonder if you could somehow attach something similar to you and launch it right before you hit the ground so that you create enough forward speed to create lift on the birdman suit... thus you could land it. Kinda like a cross between a birdman and a rocketman. :)

Since my post keeps getting deleted by some moderator, i'll ask it another way. A few weeks back someone posted a link to a card that was real quiet had a sheep or something on it saying "i love you you're so sweet" then this loud voice said something about "sex" real loud.. anyone know the website? Screw that.. how about a C-5? You could fit what, 600 skydivers in that thing? WFFC needs to try and get one of THOSE! :) Kevin

Ahh I remember 2 rides for the price of one! I went to a small DZ which was S/L only... turns out a swat team from my local town was there to jump as well, I was paired up with a swat member and his wife - the swat member was to be the first out, they opened the door and he just couldn't do it, couldn't get out.. so we went down and let him out.. ended up going back up with his wife and jumping. :-) -
