Getting back to the original post, I'm not convinced that most Christians accept evolution, though I know that a lot of them do. It's not so much about not accepting evolution inasmuch as we're not actually against it...as one once said, "I like your science, I do not like your scientists." I don't think that is true of most Christians that believe in Creationism. All that I have come across have been ignorant of the science and were not interested in learning.

The bottom line is the more assumptions you make the less likely your conclusions are correct. Considering the number of assumptions you make to support your beliefs, they are not remotely likely to be real or true.
-
Peer reviewed?? Really?! It's all opinion based on interpretation of the Bible. There is no way to define who's interpretation is correct since it's all subjective to each person's opinion. It's nothing but fantasy which you appear to try to give it legitimacy by trying to make it sound like science when you don't seem to be able to grasp what the scientific method is. My dear beowulf, you totally missed the point. All of your assumptions invalidate your point.

It's amazing how much of your belief is based on assumptions layered upon themselves.

How do you know this? I researched it back in the 80's when I had a private Christian counseling practice. What evidence did you find and how did you test it? Read Correece above. Suffice to say it came with my matriculation to the Master's level at the University of South Florida, ordination in the Covenant Church of Tampa and Elder in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Ah, so you made it up. Cool. That's pretty standard. All they do is reinterpret the Bible, since there is no actual evidence. If there were any real evidence then it would pretty much destroy their whole doctrine of faith.

How do you know this? I researched it back in the 80's when I had a private Christian counseling practice. Great...that should keep him busy for awhile running around in a circle of redundancy. "Where's the scientific evidence?" "How do you know? "Where's the scientific evidence" "How do you know...how do you know, how do you know, how do you know, how do you know...." Have fun... So you apparently think he doesn't have any evidence to support his assertion.

Blah blah...you may wanna do a little more research instead of turning a blind eye in YOUR attemt at justification, lol... Your example specified the Jews and Romans as the ones persecuting Christians.
-
No that is what you wrote. If that isn't what you meant then you need to learn to express your thoughts better.
-
Another attempt at rationalizing bad behavior. Just because you can't recognize what you are doing doesn't mean you aren't doing it. BTW, The Christian persecution wasn't done by atheists. The Jews and Romans believed in God and gods respectively.
-
It says a lot about you and your religion that all you can do is try to justify bad behavior with examples of past bad behavior.
-
Your reply is based on your assumptions of what you think Kallend is implying. I think your assumptions are wrong.
-
His point is that atheism is not politically correct at all. It's not even close. Look up polls on tolerance toward atheists in the US.
-
The bigger cities are not bad, reactions vary. But the smaller towns are really bad. People have been essentially run out of town.
-
In my experience, people who claim to be spiritual but not religious are actually religious types who are unwilling to come right out and admit it on account that atheism is socially PC lately in the USA So what? we're probably both right in some cases. Individuals tends to have individual reasons for their own beliefs and that's how it should be. I don't know where you are living but in the southern US atheists are treated like lepers.

How do you know this?

I must ask...do you have the ability to recognize the utter stupidity of this statement? That is your opinion and I don't share it.
-
Your logic is screwed up...you're trying to apply it to faith - truly an exercise in vanity. How much life have you wasted on this? Faith is a waste of time and is the crutch of the lazy.
-
The Bible is filled with a lot of fantasy, just like the Illiad and the Odyssey.
-
That is nothing but a fantasy. Just because lots of people believe doesn't lend it any more credance.
-
Data error (cyclic redundancy check) “You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.” You and all Christians have failed to provide credible evidence to support the existence of your god or spiritualism or anything supernatural, therefore I do not believe.
-
Your logic is screwed up. No one has claimed any of what you have listed as existing outside the human mind, unlike spirituality.
-
You can imagine anything you want. But when you claim something like spirituality as real then you need evidence to back up such a claim. Otherwise it's just a figment of your imagination.
-
Fortunately for them there is no way to prove something doesn't exist. You can only deduce that something doesn't exist due to a lack of evidence.
-
I don't have an interest in trying to change anyones mind regarding religion. This is just entertainment.
