Gradeschool children make the laws in Missouri: No cold beer.
beowulf replied to Jimbo's topic in Speakers Corner
Yeah probably wouldn't stop him. Like Bilvon said he would just buy a cooler and some ice. I have never seen anyone drink so consistently. Then again if I were married to his wife I'd be drunk all of the time too. -

I knew a guy that would pickup a six pack when ever he would drive anywhere more then 5 min away and have it finished before he got there. Then pickup another for the drive back. -
Prove Christ exists, Italian judge orders priest

Ok where specifically is that in the bible. Am I safe to assume it is in the book of Isaiah? If so which verses? I don't remember ever having come across any description of Jesus. -

ha ha LOL that is very funny. Beauty is very subjective. Just because you think this "comprehensive description" of Jesus is not very attractive doesn't necessarily mean that someone else does. Just because somwhere there is a written description of Jesus doesn't mean it is accurate. It could be total fiction. How would you know if it were true? -

If you search hard enough you will always find what you are looking for, whether it is actually there or not. Faith is not a very objective way to begin any search. -

you never cease to amaze me. -
Death scares me, yet fascinates me also. I don't want to die, but being close to death does excite me. I once thought without any doubt that I was going to die a very slow and painful death. I remember thinking that I didn't want to die because I had a lot more things still left to do. But hey I got lucky and didn't die. But I was partially right it was very painful and slow.

Prove Christ exists, Italian judge orders priest

Please read what I have written carefully. I don't question the existence of Jesus. I am sure there was a person named Jesus. Now am I able to produce tangible proof that he existed, that is a totally different matter. I have never said that Jesus never existed. -

How does Jesus talk back to you? Is it a voice in your head? -
Prove Christ exists, Italian judge orders priest

There is much more evidence then just reports of Alexander the Greats's existence. There is very little evidence to support exitence of Jesus. The bible and a few other writings are the only evidence. That isn't much. -

I didn't say he never existed. But proving he existed would be very diffucult. What books did he write? Where was he buried? Is there any physical proof that he existed? What did he look like? Are there any paintings or drawings of him from his era? I have never heard or read of any answers to these questions that are very credible. -
There is a Ninjutsu school about 4 blocks away from my office. http://www.artofcombat.com/ Move to Dallas and join up. I hear they have skills.

Guess Father Enrico Righi is screwed since there isn't any difinitive proof of the existence of Jesus. I'ts all a faith driven. -
Try to focus on the things you like rather then the things you dislike. That really applies to everything in life. The bad things are always there. It's the good things that make everything tolerable. If you can't see the good things, then you will never be happy. It's a choice we all make.

As far as I am concerned there are no comfortable goggles that fit over glasses. I have perscription goggles. They are not that expensive. Check out www.sportrx.com

I am of the opinion that they are all charlatans. All pretending to know the will of some invisible man that knows everything.
-
yup that seems to be the religious criteria for a charlatan.
-
If religion were based on actual facts then it wouldn't be a religion. It's all based on beliefs. So without any tangible facts how do you distinguish between charlatans and those that are not?
-
umm no I wouldn't have any warm and fuzzy feelings about that. It's just an observation. If all decisions are done by voting then the most popular decisions are the ones that are made. That doesn't mean they are correct. Just means they were presented in the most appealing way. Just like the president happened to present himself in a more appealing manner then his opponent. At least he appealed to a greater number of people. Is this right? Is it the best way to do things? I think it leaves a lot to be desired. It makes it diffucult for any leader to make the hard but necessary decisions for the betterment of the entire country.
-
Thats nice. It's always good to know you are good at something.

I think it is more indifference to their needs not necessarily meanness. Why would I want to support something that I don't care about and also find repulsive?
