  1. Mick is correct, its really not that "big of a deal". There are many qualified riggers that can do it. On a personal level, yes, I would send it back to the mfr. It also gives them a chance to inspect the rig, and I think that is good for the customer and the mfr. good day.
  2. To shorten the MLW on a Javelin with rings is $120.00. Change laterals is $120.00. To replace is $300.00 Keep in mind that the "yoke" O,A, B, C, D is built in the container, NOT the harness. Most women will either be an A, or a B yoke. So if your rig is say a C 18 then you cannot change the C, you may only change the length of the MLW. To guess your size with only the measurements you listed I would say you are an A14 or maybe even an O13. Yes the O is a smaller yoke that the A. hope that helps
  3. No really, Don't limit your self when it comes to boogies, and don't be too parochial. We all learn from and love each other, so travel and learn as much as you can, and THEN come to the WFFC and hang with me! I second that!! Be safe and enjoy the hard work everyone puts into making events happen.
  4. sooooo, you just lost all your friends
  5. optima is a helmet, bonehead i believe the turbo is a TurboZ canopy

  11. Check out my christmas present, cant wait to jump it!!! Thanks ebay. Do I chop it or land it? If I land it the winds will have to be calm, probably doesnt have any crossports, seen a couple collapse in gusty winds, back in the day. thanks jmprgrl!!! whoooo hoooo, oh how bout new years day! 12. What are the Vision and Amigo in skydiving?
  13. Jerry, thats great, sometimes I feel that way. How is Diane? Do you know where she is? That jet shot will be around forever wont it? Am i correct that there is another shot that is actually closer?
  14. I believe Phil sold SD San Marcos last july and is retired, still jumping though. I think that is the same Phil. J
  15. Thats interesting, that shot looks different than the one I have always seen, it actually looks like it is a few frames before the "real" close one. I will see if I can get it. From what I understand the pilot was fired due to that. The other rumor is that the CEO of Southwest has it on his wall. What a ride huh?
  16. Wesley Wow Bobby Brown, one of my favorite "adults" when I was growing up at the Seagoville DZ (DPA at the time). I did get to see him at my fathers memorial boogie back in 2000. He hadnt changed a bit. I remember the "crossbow"(is that right) with the arrow on it that he used to jump. hey does he still have that? does he want to sell it? Wesley you should come out to our event at SD Saceland in July (SkyFest) we will be doing second generation skydives and it would be great to have you join us. Bring your dad too. How is he? Tell your dad that J one of the Schrimsher boys says hello. Hope to meet you some time, take care.
  17. Oh yes that was in Dallas. I will email my brother, he has a copy.
  18. I thought it was like a box of chocolates? and you get your DL from crackerjacks
  19. I did both last year and by far CF was great! Of course I have been to quite a few WFFC and that was my, hmm 1st CF. I have to do this, but another one to think about is SkyFest. We will have over a dozen mfrs. and a live gear auction. But our flight line will be tailgator, 2 otters, heli, powered parachute, pitts bi- plane, 3 balloons, and more in the works. hope i didnt hi-jack this one. I must say that CF is an event that stands on its own. Great vibe, good parties, and excellent skydives. have fun which ever you choose and stay safe.
  20. I got to thinking about the subject line for this thread and it hit me. The only car I can think of that has actually been thrown from a plane was that Cadillac Cimmaron in that movie??? Although I am sure Eloy has thrown a few on their Trash" days.
