  1. Did you actually read the story? I don't see any "narrative" being pushed. Simply reporting the fact that a huge number of unvaccinated people have been exposed to a dangerous disease by an unvaccinated person. And those unvaccinated people are pissed. I'm not sure what the "other side of the aisle" would say. FIFY True to a certain degree, but there are some who couldn't be vaccinated (many because they were simply too young). And it doesn't go into why the woman was not vaccinated. It's entirely possible that she falls into the "vaccinated when young but not immune" group from the sixties. They were vaccinated with a "killed virus" version of the vaccine that isn't as effective. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." 2. Ummm... Unless you fill the tank with water or an inert gas of some sort (argon was mentioned above) you are risking a big fireball if you do that. The gasoline permeates the metal. You can't wash it out. The heat from the welding will release vapors. That are extremely flammable. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." 4. There's an old saying "men's egos are large, but fragile." Getting rejected hurts, even if you were planning to reject the same person. Most of us secretly want every woman in the world to fancy us. Not logical, not sensible, but true. Doesn't excuse bad behaviour though. Bingo. Most men have far, far lower standards than women. Take Nataly for example: She's hot, smart, cute, has a good job, pretty, rides a motorcycle, hot, skydives (or at least used to), cute, good sense of humor, pretty, rides horses... And she's hot. What's not to fall for? Politics? Religion? Family choices? Personal values? Mental or emotional issues? Pfft. Who cares. If those get in the way later, we'll just leave. And break up via text or voice mail. And before you flame me, I'm kidding.... Kinda. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." 5. Get video if you take this route. It would be best to use a "real" video camera with some sort of zoom lens. The wide angle on a GoPro either would be too far away to get decent footage... Or too close to survive the fireball. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Lucky McSwervy "~ya don't GET old by being weak & stupid!" - Airtwardo
  6. Good for him. I find it rather ironic that the "anti-vaxxers" ignore a very, very important statistic when the make all their claims: How many doctors refuse to vaccinate their kids. I can't find a number from a source I trust, but everything indicates it's small. Tiny. Infinitesimal. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." 7. Really in all of the Muslim world? Or the tiny segment you watched on the news? It's reality in Afghanistan. There have been a large number of women assassinated. Usually for advocating for women's rights. Or for advocating education of women. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." 8. Clean it really good and slather it with JB Weld (get the good stuff). Give it several days to cure (a week or more would be better) before you put enough gas in to see if it holds. Make sure you cover an area much bigger than the current leak. Might work, might not. And no matter what happens, the rust will grow and spread beyond the patch. This will be a temporary repair. Although it might last a year or more. I would use the 2 part 'goo' rather than the putty (clay like) stuff. It 'shmears' on better and holds better. And if it doesn't work, then replace the tank. Gas leaks are dangerous. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Lucky McSwervy "~ya don't GET old by being weak & stupid!" - Airtwardo

  10. They were. At least they used to be. Mandatory that is. Kids had to be vaccinated to attend school. There were waivers, but they were pretty hard to get and required an actual, valid, medical reason. And kids were safely vaccinated for decades before this bullshit about autism came up. 12. Now if only the CIA can find a way to turn ISIS on the Taliban and the Taliban on the Shia's and the Shia's on ISIS, and let all these stupid motherfuckers kill each other off.... BONUS! Well, Afghanistan in the 90s (from the Sov pullout until the US invaded in late 01) was pretty much constant fighting. Mostly tribal factions and Pashtun against... everyone else (Persian groups mostly). And Iraq post-invasion was constant Sunni-Shia fighting. Some of it overt, more of it standard "terrorism" or gang/organized crime style stuff. You know, pick out someone from the other side, maybe for a reason, maybe not. Break into their house in the middle of the night, grab them, kill them and dump their body in the street. I'd kinda prefer not to see it. 13. What Cheney and his underlings did to Valerie Plame is enough for me. They clearly didn't want any contradictory information to be aired. And were willing to break the law to punish those who put out stuff they didn't like. There's not a whole lot of difference between withholding exculpatory info and lying. Both are deliberate attempts to deceive. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Lucky McSwervy "~ya don't GET old by being weak & stupid!" - Airtwardo
  14. Well, the fun part of this it while the "Muslim Haters" scream that Sharia law is being put in place in the US, they conveniently ignore the fact that there are "Jewish Police" operating openly in NYC. http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/brooklyn/praise-scorn-hasidic-patrols-target-minorities-article-1.158630 They don't seem to be running around enforcing Halakah, but they do seem to be controversial. 15. Well, from the link: It sounds like one of those "mixers" where people of differing backgrounds and cultures are given a chance to meet and learn about each other. You know, promoting understanding and trying to reduce stereotypes and prejudices. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." 16. Well, as a serious "floaty-butt", I'll chime in here. Suit selection, including fabrics, fit and accessories make a huge difference. Weights help some. They can be a real weight belt, or improvised. If she doesn't like the belts, maybe a couple of dive weights in her pockets. Yes, I'm serious. I used 5 lbs (a 2.5 and 2 x 1.25) and stuck them in the front pockets of my pants. The legstraps of the rig were above them and held them in place. It put the weight a little bit below my hips, but worked well. As a guy, I tend to be a bit "top heavy." Women have different weight distribution. YMMV (or maybe HMMV). It didn't take me much weight to be able to fall with "normal" people. there were a couple "big boys" who I couldn't keep down with, but the regular guys had problems with them too. As I progressed, I found that I was able to fall faster using better technique and I haven't used the weights for a while now. Different things allow me to fall faster without maxing out. Better arch (duh), but also leg position, tucking arms in, that sort of thing. It takes practice to be able to fly well while everything is "small", but I can keep down with most people and still be able to fly my slot (mostly) and still have enough "extra" that I can get down if (when) I end up high. I do have to say that the first time I went low on a jump was a notable event (logged and yes, beer). "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." 17. You are welcome. We see enough fiction (and hear enough "wannabe" stories) that get the facts so horribly wrong that it's very nice when someone asks "How do I tell this right?" 18. Basic core strengthening and stretching for flexibility is what you want. Yoga is pretty good for what you are looking for. It's not all that physical of a sport. Packing is hard on your hands. The worst part for me is being squashed into the plane. Really. My knees and ankles are the worst. And having people sitting on them in the place can be bad. 19. The hype or the actual storm? I agree that it's looking pretty severe. They are completely banning traffic in Massachusetts and Connecticut tonight. Nothing to be on the roads except emergency vehicles. But the "Storrrrrrrm of the Cennnnnnturrrryyyyyy" hype gets very old. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." 20. Some might. I wouldn't, I was taught that if the colored threads along the edges is damaged, then the harness is unairworthy. But I wouldn't be too surprised if someone, somewhere would pack it. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." 21. I find it rather ironic that the self-proclaimed "President" of this so-called "Association" (that seems to have a total membership of one) is recommending DZs that he was perma-banned from. He was perma-banned for claiming that the lack of Skyhooks in their student gear was putting their students at a risk that was criminally negligent. So he's touting the safety of DZs that he accused of risking student's lives. To call him what he really is would risk being banned for a Personal Attack. But I'd like to see him perma-banned from here. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Lucky McSwervy "~ya don't GET old by being weak & stupid!" - Airtwardo
  22. Could be. But, maybe not. Would a payroll be all in hundreds? If the "business that is known for hiring undocumented people" is a (purely speculative guess) lawn care/landscaping business, then perhaps he was going to buy a skid steer or tractor or some piece of equipment. Going into one of those sorts of deals with cash in hand can give the buyer an advantage. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." 23. Google "cash confiscated by police" to find out a lot of legitimate reasons people would be carrying large sums of cash. Those people were unlucky enough to be stopped by the cops and have the cops find and keep the money. I've traveled with several thousands of dollars in cash a few times. Going to buy a car or similarly priced item. Good on you Ryoder. Honesty pays for itself in the end, IMO. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." 24. Not exactly. If they make wedding cakes for other couples, but refuse to make them for a gay couple (or a black couple or a Jewish couple or an Islamic couple or whatever), it's discrimination. If they refuse to write a hateful message on a cake (no matter who the hate is directed at) it's simply refusing business. It's the refusing service based on the group that the refused customer belongs to that makes it discrimination. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
