33% of Americans obese ... 63% overweight
OlympiaStoica replied to OlympiaStoica's topic in The Bonfire
According to the BMI chart, I'm at the upper limit of the "normal weight" category - 24.8 ... I better get my (BIG) ass moving ... O -
Oh, don't get me started on the subject; I have been doing a (mostly) good job at restraining myself. I've earned my strong opinion's on the subject too ... O
-
Edited: realized I didn't answer the question ... time to get my head out of the gutter ... O
-
Yep ... well, more like a transplant ... serving a "prison sentence" after following my now ex-husband here ... O
-
Woke up to pouring rain, lightning and thunder ... and dark as night. We haven't seen the sun in 11 days straight and it has been like that (with small breaks) for six weeks. The weather this entire weekend looks "iffy" ... we may have wet fireworks on Saturday ... But ... no work ... so happy 4th to you too

... and I've seen your latest pictures, pretty "NWFlyer" ... there is a LOT less of you than it was when I met you back in December at Zhills. All that effort is reflected in the way you look and smile. I bet you feel like a million dollars too -

Don’t get me wrong … I’m no skinny minie myself and controlling my weight has been a life long struggle. When I can’t get into my jeans however, I get disgusted, have a get-your-head-out-of-your-arse conversation with myself, than take action. I’d never let myself go to the point where I can’t fit into an airline seat. O -

Yep ... I read that about Colorado - it is the reason I've added it to my list of potential places to move to. The active lifestyle culture is very attractive to me - just like most everyone else, I need inspiration to get (and stay) in shape ... O -
As for older guys, check this out: Results of last years Mt Evans Hill Climb. (a 30 mile cycle race that starts at 7000 MSL and finishes at 14,000 MSL). http://www.bicyclerace.com/results/2008_results/mt-evans-results.htm Note the 5th place finisher: Ned Overend http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ned_Overend He is 53. I rest my case ... I always hear that younger guys have more stamina and therefor are better lovers. Ha ... I'm yet to meet someone (young or not) matching up this guy's energy. Maybe the fact that he was/is French explains it ... O

Growing up very poor in communist Eastern Europe, my "lunch box" was the previous day's newspaper

Which might be part of the problem. It's too embarassing - we don't even want to talk about it ... O -
That feeling in the pit of my stomach when I'm totally attracted to someone... it defies age. That's all.

All I have to do is look around to know that we as Americans are in the midst of an epidemic … but reading those statistics in a news article yesterday still sounded unbelievable. In this age (and country) of 50lb toddles and 700lb adults, how do you personaly avoid being part of that statistic? And why is it that Europe (and the rest of the world for that matter) doesn't have this same problem? O -
Hey, that's my age.
-
That is ... "don't ask how old I am and I won't tell anyone you screwed me"? O
-
To my utter and complete shock, my old fashion, traditional, coming from a developing country, mom thinks it's is the coolest thing ever ... even after my injury. She can't believe that the sensitive, timid, frail child that was always bullied growing up, has the balls to skydive ... O
-
52 ... me 33 ... still the best I ever had; there is something to be said for experience
-
Somebody is looking for a spanking ... maybe you'll get one when I see you at Jumptown this weekend ... On a second thought, I think I'm going to mess around with your reserve pin instead ... O
-
V-B is in a weird mood today ... throwing temper tantrums just because I was ... umm ... busy ... and couldn't take his call ... O
-
Awwwwwwww... Heal first dear, the sky will wait. btw, airbrush tan? where do I sign up to do that job? Of course, here in Florida there wouldn't be a need I gotta tell ya, i'm not missing New England right about now. My skin is very white ... I wouldn't go out in the sun for a real tan anyway ... avoiding the sun damage is the reason everyone estimates my age to be minus 10 years. Yeah ... the guy who does it for me is happy ... he said I'm his coolest customer - I don't like tan lines ... O

Ok, Doc... how the hell does the CLITORIS get torn during a delivery, given the distance from the vaginal opening? Are you SURE you didn't mean perineum? I am SURE. Perineal lacerations are easy to repair. Anterior tears... not so much fun. It really is horrid when you have to put a catheter in the urethra to identify where that is prior to starting the repair. I want to thank you ... for validating my choice of not having children. I like my clitoris in one piece, thank you very much ... O

if virgin-burner and train-wreck would have babies together..
OlympiaStoica replied to virgin-burner's topic in The Bonfire
Well ... you're a disappointment - you said that we're going to be the next JohnMitchell/Vskydiver ... now you go around having babies with other people .... O -
My boss ... few of my co-workers ... some of my "whoffo" friends stopped talking to me ... apparently, my passion and the fact that it makes me happy bothers a lot of people ... O
-
Not much ... but we did miss you
