To mirror real life. Everyone knows that ordering a pizza really means that the girl will be waiting for her sausage delivery in lingerie.

LOL C'mon out to northern california where we dont really have an "off" season. The weather is great and the chest straps are good and strong! blue skies Not a day goes by that I don't wish I had taken up skydiving while living in Hawaii. Now I just want to go back!

I wish I could have had a list to choose a song or something, because none of the ones I've heard on videos have been anything that I would choose. It should be like karaoke, where you have a menu of songs to choose from.

If you ever see anything in the news about a skydiver knocking herself out with her boobs and falling, unconscious, to her death, you'll know that I tried naked skydiving.

Dog & cat people: Is there a difference in personalities?
Cari replied to mamajumps's topic in The Bonfire
I have a dog and 2 cats. Growing up, I'd always been a dog person and didn't dislike cats, but didn't particularly want one. When I got with my husband, I ended up with a cat as well. Then I found a tiny little mutated kitten by his work a few years ago (he was born with unformed eyes and eyelids, so he looks like a zombie and is 100% blind). I couldn't do anything but keep the damn thing. Soooo...I have a 10 year old dalmatian, a 24 year old assface of a cat, and a 3 year old blind maniac. I still consider myself a dog person, but cats are alright too...I guess... -
I didn't even know there was one.

When I did AFF 1, they said that they were unsure of my count before the exit because I hesitated and then kinda just went with no real indication that I was about to exit. I told the instructors that I got scared and felt like I was going to fall out of the plane. His response put things into perspective for me...."Wouldn't the best time to fall out of a plane be when you have a parachute strapped to your back?" I really didn't have much of a response to that!

Lucky!! Hi! :)

I've heard about a couple places in the Midwest that jump through the winter, but my guess is that none of them would allow student jumps then. Anyone happen to know if this is the case? I don't think that I'll be able to finish my AFF jumps before the end of the season because three times in a row that I tried to get some in, the weather didn't cooperate :(

With written parental consent in the state of South Dakota you can; quite a few others like this (states), quite a few that do not accept any form of tattooing. (Ex girlfriend was a tattooists daughter, funnily enough) Totally offtopic, but there is another form of consent to something that does run an interesting path. Oh, I know that it varies from place to place. I just remember when I was a teenager you had to be 21 in my state to get tattooed (now it's 18). It was a huge pain in the ass to find a place that didn't seem shady to do it...and then I had to have a notarized letter from my mom. Even when she went with me, they said they needed a notarized letter for their file.

I don't know too much about DZ operations, but I do know that I wouldn't want to run that risk myself. I mean, you can't even legally get a tattoo at 16. That doesn't mean that you can't find a place that will do it, but it seems like too big of a risk to me.

Obama and the attempt to destroy the Second Amendment
Cari replied to piper17's topic in Speakers Corner
Aren't the guns in circulation supposed to prevent that from happening? Isn't that the thought process that an armed population could stop a rogue government? That was a big part of the debate between the Federalists and Anti-Federalists that ended up leading to the 2nd Amendment. That would be virtually impossible now though. -
Obama and the attempt to destroy the Second Amendment
Cari replied to piper17's topic in Speakers Corner
I agree with this 100%. In fact, I don't understand when people pick one cause and run with that, and use that one cause to determine how they vote. There will never be a candidate on which I agree with every single view they have (if there was, there is no way they would ever get elected anyway!), but I have the ability to look at the bigger picture. I mean, the whole, "OMG THEY'RE TAKING OUR GUNS!" thing is a little played out at this point anyway, isn't it? -
Point taken. Coincidentally, that coincides with the time that things went to hell for the Jews (and others). You win....on that point anyway.

Is Fraggle Rock still on at all? I miss that damn show.

"(I) regard Christianity as the foundation of our national morality and the family as the basis of our national life." --Adolf Hitler "What we must fight for is to safeguard the existence and the reproduction of our race...so that our people may mature for the fulfillment of the mission allotted it by the creator of the universe...Peoples that bastardize themselves, or let themselves be bastardized, sin against the will of eternal Providence." --Adolf Hitler "The folkish-minded man, in particular, has the sacred duty, each in his own denomination, of making people stop just talking superficially of God's will, and actually fulfill God's will, and not let God's word be desecrated. For God's will gave men their form, their essence and their abilities. Anyone who destroys His work is declaring war on the Lord's creation, the divine will." --Adolf Hitler The rumors of Hitler practicing some form of Paganism are just that...rumors. Until I see or hear something to prove the contrary, I will go with the info that is available. He was raised Catholic and, according to National Secretary Klundt, he joined the German Christians and converted to Protestantism in 1933.

When do you consider yourself a "skydiver"
Cari replied to mitsuman's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Why do you think you have to own your own gear to be considered a skydiver? I'm not saying that I'm a "skydiver" in terms of what most think, but I don't think I need to own a rig to be considered one. I mean, I spent much of college and high school as a cashier. I never owned an actual cash register, but I still held the title. :P -
Seriously.. A Guy asks you out. Takes you to Taco Bell.. And you are not thinking What a Loser?? Seriously I expected a more real answer from you. Maybe he got her the whole value mean, not just a taco....
