Thanks a bunch! I was actually looking into altimeters, helmets, and goggles and will probably buy em in the next week or so. Need to start somewhere, right? :)

I am really new to skydiving, but am already hooked. Since I'm not independently wealthy, I would like to start getting some of my own gear slowly, and am wondering what would be some good things to start with? I won't be buying my own rig anytime soon since what is good for me now probably won't be good for me in a few months since people tend to downsize as they progress. Right now, I'm looking more at getting the small things (goggles, jumpsuit, etc). I'm pretty small (5'4" 125lbs) and really don't know too much about gear yet...but I'm learning! Any recommendations for good gear for a starter?

I've already been looking at gear to get some prices since I really had no idea. For all I knew, full gear could have been $50 or $50,000! I'm going to start asking more experienced people for advice on this so that I can get set up as soon as I actually have the money for it (probably not until next year sometime). It really is like crack....

I didn't even know what AFF was until yesterday. I really am very very new to all of this. I am doing AFF starting on the next one. I was going to this time, but I opted for one more tandem because my nerves were getting the best of me.

I finally did it! I've wanted to for so long and did a tandem jump yesterday at Chicagoland Skydiving Center! It was awesome. I think that it was the beginning of a new addiction! Anyway, hi everyone. I'm Cari!
