This is rubbish. The gun control act of 1968 made drop-safety testing mandatory for all gun manufacturers. I can take a loaded handgun and skip it across a parking lot and it wouldn't fire. In addition to the hammer or striker being knocked loose, the trigger has to be depressed to allow the hammer or striker to contact the firing pin. What about long guns?

To say the very least. While we may have thought that in order to archive sectarian harmony, it was important to reopen schools and KFC's as quickly as possible. The fact is, we have never had a firm grasp on just how complicated that situation really is. If the Shia backed Al-Maliki Government was in "complete control" it sounds to me like it was a good time to leave.

I think Republicans have always had a special hatred for HRC. This hatred started long before anyone could even imagine her running for the Senate, let alone POTUS.

Clinton came across as the only grown-up in the room. I thought she came across as cold and focused on one thing, power. She lied straight to the american people about the assault by an organized terrorist group and lied to the families of those fallen americans. I could care less about anything else. Hell, she even stepped on the grave of her "dear friend", the ambassador putting it on him. "he knew what he was getting in to.", really? He also knew he needed additional security hence the 600 requests for additional security that were either rejected or ignored. I agree the GOP sideshow is a joke. I also agree that Hillary is a great politician. She is crafty, well spoken, deceptive & power hungry. I know many politicians lie and are corrupt but it takes a special kind of evil to act in the manner she did and to lie straight to the families of the fallen while standing next to their caskets draped in the U.S. Flag. She makes me ill. I disagree with Obama on many things and I have not liked what he has done but I do not think he is wicked. I think Hillary is. Political views aside, I cannot understand how anyone could ever vote for her. She cares about one thing, power. Garden variety HRCDS.

What is your fix? For starters, no loaded weapons in cars. Meh, not good enough for gun control activists - it's so ridiculously easy to work around, even loonies could circumvent that! What we need is the gun control patriot act that will amplify our police state and pry on the citizenry...what do you have to hide? Transporting guns and ammo separately in California doesn't seem to be a terrible burden or unreasonable.

Clinton looks and sounds solid right now in front of Congress. The Republican inquisitors... not so much, they look and sound desperate.

We all know how eager those ARVN boys were to defend their terribly corrupt country. If the whole premise of the argument is based on the south having a willing army, but just lacking the arms, it's a ridiculous argument. The same thing is now happening in Iraq and Afghanistan, despite the billions in hardware we provide on a yearly basis, they don't have the will to fight.

I'm quite happy that the Ruskies are going toe to toe with the rebels in Syria. The world was a better place when Assad had total control of that country, and perhaps Russia can help sort things out and get that country stabilized. No one else seems able to do shit. We are not the only ones that suffered the horrors of radical Islam, perhaps a few remember Beslan or the Dubrovka theatre. I think Beslan was one of the worst events of my life.
