First of all, the President is not a member of Congress. No where does the Constitution say you have the right to chat with the President, it does say you have the right to redress Congress. I clearly said that Perry and Bachmann, who are current elected officials, do not need to allow anyone through the doors at their reelection events. Do you see the difference.

While it is true Hilary was a member of Congress while she ran for President, you would not expect Governor Rick Perry or Rep. Michelle Bachmann to have all of their campaign events public. The reason they are charging is to discourage people who may ask questions they do not want to hear. The Constitution states that we should have access. Republicans say they are big on the Constitution.They never charged for town hall meetings in the pass because they can be reimbursed for these expenses. Remember when all the tea baggers let loose on the Democrat's town hall meetings over healthcare? Can you imagine what they would have said if they needed to pay to get in? It is comically obvious that the goal here on SC is not in inflict belief but to seek and destroy anything that is not understood.
