    Define 'the rich'. Define the 'middle class'. Given that I'm breaking them down within their own cohort - nope. The IRS. I don't need to, they're spinning enough as it is. Rich? the top 1% of wage earners. The middle class? between $30,000 and a $125,000 Cohort? you never mentioned anything about the middle class, the largest group in the US, you left out the stats for between $20,000 and $200,000. Why not mention the middle class? Please share your IRS link, there must be a reason you did not post it.

    No shit, why do you suppose that is? Because the cuts shifted the tax burden upward. Using your stats, the rich had to make up about 5%. The one group you failed to mention was the middle class. In those same years, the employment rate nose dived, wages stagnated or declined, and jobs were shipped overseas. The middle class has also been in a steep decline. Do you think that could have been a factor? And where did you come up with your stats? I never knew the official names of the tax cut bills until now, This is fucking great; Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 (EGTRRA) Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003 (JGTRRA) Hey Dubya how did all those jobs and all that economic growth work out for us. You can't make this stuff up. Now, ten years later they try and tell us to stay the course.

    I just saw Huntsman on cnn discussing his views that abortion should only be allowed in situations that involve rape and incest. That should cut the abortion rate in most red state by at least 10%.

    If something like 911 ever happened under Obama, at least half of the Republican party would be outside the White House with pitchforks and torches. (and the truth be told, probably a couple of nooses.) They say their may be a sharp drop in oil prices with the end of the conflict. Great for our Country, not so great for Republicans and big oil.

    How can you say it has no effect? Might even be better than if everyone had to pay more, because then the budget would be formed with that expectation. What I meant was, when Republicans say that if you want higher taxes, then send in a check with an amount that would be reflective of the increase you are in favor of. I say why would you do that unless everyone was required to. A few people sending in few bucks will not change anything.

    That's the lamest argument in the world. She is willing to pay more IF everyone pays more. Why would you send more money if it will have no effect. I believe paying taxes is patriotic, they should have raised taxes when we went to war in Iraq and Afghanistan, they should have rationed Gasoline like they did in WW2, Americans should have sacrificed something other than our young.

    I partially agree with you , as a percentage of income though, the wealthy will not even notice. This will be a much bigger burden on the middle and lower class, the exact plans of the Republicans.

    I'm scratching my head trying to figure out this one. All Republicans said that letting the Bush tax cuts on people making more than $250,000 expire, amounted to a tax increase. And in with keeping with their tradition of sucking the penis of Grover Norquist, refused to even consider it. Now when it comes to Obama's temporary payroll tax reduction that he wants to extend, they want to let it expire. Hiring an "accused terrorist" who is "friends" with someone who espouses death to gays. does not make her support the death of gays. So are you saying, that a candidate endorses all beliefs that any friend of any person working for their campaign has? And you thought my criticism of her Soviet remarks were illogical?
