  1. The length was not all that great. I think Ron Paul summed it up pretty well; “If you were to imagine for a moment how you would feel if another country forcibly occupied the United States, had military bases and armed soldiers present in our hometowns, you might begin to understand why foreign occupation upsets people so much,”
  2. There it is again... ya, we don't wanna insult them for the sake of public safety, but we'll insult them by saying they fucked up their life, they'll fuck it up again, they're delusional and believe in some imaginary friend.... You guys are too much, seriously...where's the hidden camera, eh...where is it? *looks around for hidden camera* I have nothing but the utmost respect for the Amish. Not only do they walk the walk, they don't impose their beliefs on me.
  3. I really doubt that today, any ER Doc would DC stabilizing treatment on any Pt based on ability to pay. By law an ER must not discharge a Pt until they are stable. Perhaps you remember a few years back in LA, where some hospitals were "dumping" non stable Pt's on the streets. They were in huge trouble. Your a smart man, you need to stop believing everything Sarah Palin tells you. This whole "death panel" has zero basis in fact. The whole thing started over reimbursement for Doctors to discuss advance directives. Hundreds of billions of dollars a year are spent keeping people alive during the last 3 months of their life who have no advance directive. People should be made aware that they have choices. Please provide any evidence that "Obama care"would dictate that "Managed care would indicate termination" That's nonsense. While my contact with families is limited due to the shift I work (nocs) I would never espouse my beliefs to a family. You may be surprised to hear that on the rare occasion (whenever asked), I will help some of the kids with their questions about God and the bible by finding and showing them certain passages. I have even arranged for a few masses, baptism's and last rites to be said at bedside in the middle of the night. On one occasion, I even had my co-workers all convinced we were having an exorcism performed on a Pt that night. They were not amused, I thought it was funny. I'm still waiting to hear someone just diagnosed, with a curable disease, pray for the ultimate healing. Triage is always based on the viability of recovery during an extreme time of limited resources, and never based on the victims ability to pay,
  4. Your friends obviously do not vote how they feel. Gay marriage has been soundly defeated in almost every election. The good news, the young are more and more accepting of gays, and it's only a matter of time they are given the same rights as everyone else.
  5. Issues the orders or does it it himself? I can tell you that know one I know would do it. Disconnecting a terminal Pt is difficult enough, let alone some with a good prognosis but no insurance. I don't know what was happening in the seventies, but I doubt people were refused ER care. I know for a fact that if you were in a situation like that in the nineties, care would have never been refused. In all honesty, you may have been gambling, but with not nearly the same stakes as the tea baggers propose. When ever I think Christianity may have the smallest redeeming quality, i'm proven wrong. So the next time I hear a request for a prayer to heel the sick, I should remind them that the Jesus does not care about the physical death of a person. I always thought a Christian tried his best to live a Christ like life, Why would a Christian care about the physical possessions of this life when an eternity with God awaits those are truly Christ like? No part of living a Christ like life would lend it self to disconnecting someone's child, parent, or sibling from a ventilator. nonsense.
  6. . For starters, In a tea bagger world, why would the ambulance transport if there is no insurance coverage or apparent ability to pay?. If a person is transported to a hospital with 0 LOC, how do they know if he is insured or does not have the means t o pay? And what the fuck is a charity hospital? I have never heard of this in California. I think this is just one example that separates us from the third world.
  7. And I will repeat the same question to you; Who would you expect to unhook the person, who had no insurance, with an otherwise good prognosis, from a vent? I say your philosophy on this is not the same that Jesus would have.
  8. His main stated opposition to us was over our support for the government of Saudi Arabia. and our having troops there.
  9. How dare them ask to be compensated when they were forced to pay into the system to begin with. Damn right-wingers, next thing you know, robbery victims will be asking that their money and jewelry be returned. Oh, the outrage! You missed the point. I have watched several tea bagger's scream at rallies " Keep the government out of my Medi-care" These people have no clue what medi-care is.
  10. I think liberals would argue that we are hated around the world for backing dictators and making off with their natural resources. Some people like us for all the aid that we provide, but that number is falling. I believe we should have been done with Iraq and Afghanistan years ago. My point about the Afghani women was that she had embraced the tea party cause, but yet does not even understand it's most basic fundamental philosophy.
  11. When you pre screen,at least you won't get questions like the one from the terribly confused Afghan-American women. She claims to be a Tea party member and then ask what Perry would do to protect women's rights in Afghanistan. I'm sorry, did you ask a tea bagger what he would do to help a social cause in a country 10,000 miles away? When you have people that do not even have the slightest clue what their party believes, and then you let them on live TV, it's a mistake.
  12. How about you explain where paul said he's ok with not providing care and letting him die? How do you interpret this? Again...Show me where he says he's ok with not providing him care and letting him die. You can't, which explains all your theatrics and long drawn out quotes to mask the perspecuity of your bullshit lies. When Paul was asked by Blitzer if the man should die, Paul did not answer the question, instead he went off on some other tangent about what life was like over 50 years ago. When he dodges or refuses to answer the question, just like any other politician, I know he's full of shit.
  13. For the most part, I like Paul, I agree with most of everything he says. But when he starts "suggesting" that people, regardless of how they got there, should be denied life saving medical care, this view will prevent him from being taken seriously by most. This is why the Democrats believe you should be made to purchase health care, There is no way that this country will ever deny life saving medical care and that is also why you should be forced to buy it. This is the same reason you are forced to buy medi-care, a lot of people would opt out, but yet their is no way our society would deny them care when they are 80.
  14. How about you explain where paul said he's ok with not providing care and letting him die? How do you interpret this?
  15. That's great that you donate and all. At my work, we have 36 kids, at about $30,000 each a month. 90% are payed for by the taxpayers. I guess if we were cut off by the state, we could have bake sales and things like that to try and raise the $10,000,000 a year.
  16. Not knowing how old your dear mother is, I may or may not be paying for her health insurance. (yet) You got Grandparents?
  17. Why did you disconnect them from the vent? It happens all the time. Some people have advanced directives that state that if there is no hope, they do not wish to be kept alive by machines. I work with children, and the parents have the right to decide to let them go if there is no chance of recovery or quality of life. The best you can do is load them up with morphine ( but not too much, that would be assisted suicide) and hope they don't feel much. The big difference in the examples that I give, the person has already agreed not to be kept alive on a vent or parents along with a doctor have made the choice. Letting a person die who has a good prognosis for not having insurance is a whole other story.
  18. Really? I agree with the complete answer Ron Paul gave. Not the spliced up one that makes him look bad that left-wingers will embrace. So that if a person who could afford, but refuses to purchase health insurance, ends up in a situation, that with out medical care, will result in his death, you would be ok with not providing care and letting them die? If I am missing something, please explain.
  19. That was not the focus of the article, the focus was about all of the vocal support from the tea baggers in favor of letting the man die. The overwhelming majority of the tea baggers are Christian. First of all, I only heard two people in the audience say yes. Secondly, you have no idea who they are and what their political ideology is. Thirdly, for all you know they were planted by Democrats and lastly, if you listen to Ron Paul, he states that the reason this hypothetical man ended up in this situation is because people have grown used to acting irresponsible and then relying on the govt. to bail them out. In effect, agreeing he should die. It seems rather illogical to plant Democrats to applaud the policies that the tea baggers support. So do you believe with Paul, that if a person has refused to purchase health insurance, and then finds himself injured or ill and he will die with out it, society should let him die? The Tea baggers are against abortion, yet they would expect Doctors and nurses to disconnect people from ventilators based solely on that persons inability to pay? As someone who has disconnected people from a vent, and watch them gasp for breath until they die. (sometimes for hours) I really doubt you will find a single nurse willing to do that. Good luck with that.

  21. WWJD? Probably not what the Tea Baggers would do. http://www.rawstory.com/rawreplay/2011/09/tea-party-audience-cheers-letting-the-uninsured-die/
  22. I guess I was not sarcastic enough for you, I think we are both on the same page when it comes to Iraq.
  23. ">http://www.lovelydisgrace.com/2011/09/just-another-victim-of-fire.html Your wrong, it's either: Being a victim of free will the devil's fault A test of the boy's faith God punishing the boy or his parents A lack of faith God's seems to be only responsible for rainbows, puppies, and winning high school football teams.
