  1. Now there's a shocker!!! those with the lowest education level (on average) believe in creationism.
  2. How can you look at the Iraq of today and not be able to say our thousands of dead American troops, our hundreds of thousands of injured troops and a trillion dollar price tag and not be able to say it was well worth it? I don't know about you, but every time I see Nouri al-Maliki, I am reminded of a young George Washington, or perhaps a Thomas Jefferson. It's so exciting to see a budding democracy stabilize that section of the world
  3. J'ever notice there are lots of polls in Speakers Corner? The ones that fit my agenda seem to be pretty much right on the mark.
  4. Ramming the vaccine down throats? Have you forgotten where that was *very* thoroughly debunked in your *other* thread, already? Perhaps my sarcasm was not strong enough. The perception on the right was that he was ramming it down their throats. If a Democratic Governor today was to do the same thing as Perry, he would be rode out of town on a rail by the tea party. When the majority of Tea baggers are confronted with an ideological contradiction with one of their own, they would rather bury their heads in the sand.
  5. "Can you please explain to me why these same thousands of people, who pulled off the biggest conspiracy in the history of man, could not manage to plant a single WMD in Iraq? Or to a lesser degree, pull off the Valerie Plame outing?" I don't know how familiar you are with the news but Valerie Plume was succesfully outed. As far as Iraq and WMDs the US did place a large number of WMDs in Iraq. This is well documented Where do you think Saddam got them? Where did all the WMD's go once we got there? surlely a Government that is capable of pulling off 911 could plant a couple canisters of a nerve agent. The Valerie plame point was to ask how the administration could pull off 911 without it being able to be traced back to the White House, Yet when they try and do something simple, like out plame on the down low, it is easily traced right back to the VP's, office.
  6. And who makes up the majority of the Supreme court of the United States? Your beef is with them.
  7. Could you please reply to this question? "Can you please explain to me why these same thousands of people, who pulled off the biggest conspiracy in the history of man, could not manage to plant a single WMD in Iraq? Or to a lesser degree, pull off the Valerie Plame outing?"
  8. What is up with Perry and the HPV vaccine? Ramming this vaccine down the throat of Texans, that will only encourage their eleven year old daughters to be sexually active, with no fear of any repercussions. It does not seem all that long ago when this HPV vaccine was the battle cry of all good conservatives, If Obama had done or proposed the same thing... oh the wailing and gnashing of teeth. I personally think preventing cancer is a good thing. It is kind of funny hearing Perry defer to science when it came to this subject, and yet be dismissive of science when it comes to evolution and climate change.
  9. Another one of the more entertaining moments came when Santorum was asked about his Catholic faith and their work with the poor, and how that may translate in a Santorum White House's effort to help the poor. No one more than Rick Santorum in the US Senate trying to help the poor? Fucking priceless. I'm just waiting for the Republicans to propose a social security to work program.
  10. Especially with his "Don't try and divide us when we all stand for the same thing" remark to one of the moderators. I found it odd that Perry could dismiss the science behind climate change and evolution, yet agree with science when it came to HPV. I also think that Perry calling SS a "Ponzi scheme" will ultimately cause his downfall.
  11. All in all, I thought it was pretty boring. It was nice to see Huntsmen not back away from his stance on science.
  12. Lots of people have uni-sex names, anyone that gives you shit has other major issues.
  13. It's not that easy when one has so much invested in the absurd and irrational.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyEibkDo8UQ And how did that work out? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_Xek7IQhlw
  15. Can you please explain to me why these same thousands of people, who pulled off the biggest conspiracy in the history of man, could not manage to plant a single WMD in Iraq? Or to a lesser degree, the Valerie Plame outing? May I recommend: http://zapatopi.net/afdb/
  16. Why do truther's always want to use news reporting and comments made during the "fog of war" that only fit their agenda? 99% of reporting that day was correct, the truther's seize the other 1%. I have also never had it explained to me how a Government that cannot keep the most secret of secrets, even secret, keep 911 secret. This would require thousand's of people who would have to be in on it The Bush Government could pull off 911 and yet not be clever enough to plant one lousy WMD to justify the Iraq war? It's laughable to believe this shit.
  17. being in tune with the majority has nothing to do with being right. What would you suggest be done when someone says something demeaning to the military?
  18. No reply for a few hours and you're already posting here? I have had nothing but great service from them.
  19. Have you been screened for any possible medical conditions or genetic defects? Gotta agree though, that's fucked up! You're not from Mississippi are you? It may sound like something out of deliverance, however, my grandmother's sister who slept with my Grandfather's brother were not related by blood. It would be the same as if your brother, slept with your wife"s sister and produced a child and you raised him. genetically, that child would be as close to being you and your wife's child with out it being your own.
  20. I use to keep score for the PBA tour when I was in high school, (I was an aspiring pro bowler) they use to come to town once a year. Not always, but sometimes the bowlers would give you a couple of bucks as a tip after each match. After keeping score for the great Marshall Holman and not being tipped, I asked him "How bout a tip' he replied "Sure, what are you doing wrong?" After never fully picking up the sport, I was politely told I might try skydiving.
  21. Thank God for the fuzzy dice, I don't think you see enough of them on jump AC.
  22. Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, strokes and dementia are considered a form of mental illness in Europe? Throw in all those diagnosis's in the US as a mental illness and we would be right there with them. What a stupid article.
  23. I did not find out until lately that my Grandmother's sister slept with my Grandfather's brother, that produced a son they could not keep and had my "Grandparents" raise as their own (my Dad). So my "grandparents" turned out to be my Uncle and Aunt and my Uncle and Aunt were my Grandparents. I think I ended up with the same DNA on my dad's side.
  24. This one's pretty good also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4S6d84Z7eo
