They're always good for a chuckle, no concept of what anecdotal evidence is.

Is there a connection between Islam, Judaism and Christianity
jclalor replied to BIGUN's topic in Speakers Corner
And Noah living to the age of 950 is not as absurd? I knew it was only a matter of time before you'd come back to these religious threads. It is hard to stay away, quitting smoking was easier. -

Yet another thread for venting your hatred for the war!
jclalor replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
That's funny, that's not how George senior seems to remember it. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x67138 Oh, great. A link to the left-wing idiots at DU. Here, learn something. The main reason they didn't go to Bagdad is because they were afraid the coalition would not go along since it was not part of the U.N. mandate. http://www.dtic.mil/cgi-bin/GetTRDoc?AD=ADA493626 If you would have even clicked on my link you would have saw a you tube video Of 41 explaining to fox news why he did not go all the way. You OTOH provide an academic paper that starts with: I'll take 41's own words for why he did go to Baghdad. -
What party is willing pass the stand by it self 'Payroll tax holiday" extension law instead of another "Payroll tax holiday" extension law with a bunch of other shit attached? It ain't the Republicans. Your freshman teabag Congressman can take all the credit.

Would you ever through a student out without a altimiter
jclalor replied to aarco's topic in Instructors
Reading this thread I was thinking if I remembered right about not getting an altimeter back in 1982 until my first 15 second delay. I guess I was. -

Canada? Who are we protecting them from?

How so? I have never met the man, but the COL who did the Forward to his book I have spent a few days with. GEN Sada's claim matches with some of the Border Guards we questioned in 2003, as well as several shipping labels we found from France and Germany. But we still need not have been in Iraq, at least not at that time for those reasons. Matt This guy Sada sounds like a piece of work. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georges_Sada He was the #2 man in the Iraqi air force, he had been a member of the Iraqi military for almost 40 years. Once his country is defeated, he all of a sudden is on our side. I don't believe a word he says. for every Iraqi General that claims they had WMD during the UN inspections, there are 10 more Iraqi generals that say they had destroyed them all after the first gulf war, but wanted to give the impression they still had them for a deterrent to Iran and that they did not back down to the US..

That's the silliest comment I have ever heard you make. I thought you wanted the US to be reimbursed with half of a nation's wealth to help them overthrow their brutal dictators? Perhaps you can list just the top ten brutal dictators we should start with?
-
How? You were stating how much you agrred with Trump's idea that we should have been reimbursed with oil for the invasion and "liberation" of Iraq and for any other country that needs our help. The last administration promise a fraction of as much, and if they could not deliver on that, how could they deliver on one half of their oil? Do you really fail to see a connection? Because you have chosen once again to obsessively focus on the last administrations failure to collect on Iraq and ignored Trumps idea for collecting in the future. I agree with him that when the rebels in Libya asked for US and NATO help, there should have been a price tag put on it. See if you can focus on the reasons for or against that view. It's just a plain stupid idea, on several levels: You would destabalize that country and the region by taking half of their future revenue. Despite the oil, most opec countries are impoverished. You would give reason for an oppisition to the current Government, who would be seen as a US puppet. There would be a huge graft problem, instead of "oil for food" it would be "oil for liberation" Imagine putting Halliburton in charge of the oil collection?

No. I was only pointing out that Republicans tend to vastly underestimate the cost of military operations. Why would Trump be different?

We go and destabilize the area and now we have to stay to keep it stable? I guess it's the old " if you broke it, you bought it" argument The vast majorityof Americans, including Republicans want us out. Theres a better argument for staying in Afghanistan. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-57323525-503544/poll-three-in-four-back-iraq-troop-pullout/

*** What he said. And every republican Presidential candidate with the exception of Ron Paul, oppose our pullout from Iraq. And no, McCain would never have agreed to leave if he were president. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIDXLgWKQBU
