    Perhaps...I just think this subject is rather broad. I guess it's all relatively subjective and is certainly a matter of perspective. 200 years ago people got along just fine with candles, but when we had the northeast blackout of 2003 it was like chaos over here in Detroit. We are certainly more vulnerable to catastrophe the more we continue to rely on technology and bureaucratic bullshit as they permeate every facet of our society. I was gonna facetiously call it something like "social entropy," but it turns out there is already a theory on that.     Teach them that there are various scientific opinions, just as you would teach them the other various scientific opinions concerning the lunar landings, 911, and big foot. Children should be first taught the basics of the scientific method.

There are many colorful depictions of human history that we don't force onto our little ones in kindergarten...show-and-tell, finger painting and nap time is much more fun! At what age would you say is appropriate for a detailed study of these verses? I have always preferred Ezekiel 25:17

    I am not in favor of of affirmative action, my point is that the way the trend is going, Asians will soon be in the vast majority at the UC system. Blacks and Hispanics are now pissed at the Asians.

    You will simply be on the wrong side of history. Over the past several years, support among the under 35 segment of the country has their support for Gay marriage running close to 70%. One day in the future, when you are much older, your opinion on Gay marriage will be considered nothing more than a pacuilarr oddity of a different time by your young and baffled grand kids. It's not a mater of if, it's just a matter of when.

The middle class is getting killed. Besides he's just preparing to defend his success. Certainly he's a bad person because he was successful. I did read the entire article, and he said he is not concerned about the very poor. I think a large portion of Americans believe, rightly or wrongly, that they are closer to very poor as opposed to very rich, and will be even more motivated to vote Democrat. Romney is doing nothing but banking on the historical fact that the poor have a very low turnout on election day. Personally I'm thrilled he said this, just wait until the TV ads in the fall. Don't you mean a fried chicken dinner?
