Because the person who is taking the kid on thier bike is NOT the person doing the training acting as a DZ S&TA, DZ MGR,USPA Regional Director also Sitting on the national board for safety and training Com. (they are the ones who make up the rules we are to follow) CD & I/E for the gear MFG and the USPA, that means this dude is the one who is teaching others that it's not allowed to do that unless you jump through the right hoops ( the ones he thinks don't apply to him, but to everyone else) and he is also the guy who is to enforce the very rules he has decided don't apply to him, but would be required to enforce them on you! You can't see the difference here? It's about the integerty of the training programs as well as the USPA system as a whole. Please don't misunderstand my post. What I said is.... The last time I was in Parris Ca, there was two BOD members who were jumping there and there was 5 or 6 DZO's jumping there. (two different trips) One of those BOD members I think makes it his home DZ or splits his time between there and E-snore. What I didn't say was there are BOD members who are DZO's that take skyscam tickets. In fact the 3 sitting DZO's BOD I'm pretty sure refuse to take the Skyscam tickets, those would be Mike Mullins, Sherry Bucher & Larry Hill. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Well I have talked to 3 (one of whom called me and told me about this) BOD members about it, who were all sent the photos of the jump, all 3 had the same story about applying for a waver after the fact, I see no reason for these BOD members to make up such a lie, I would however expect other sitting BOD members to lie out their ass about it and help to cover it up and seek the least amount of repercussion for the act, Sometin bout gold & bLk always have your back. I also won't be surprised if UPT dose nothing about it, other then vent in a public fourm. Cuz you can't burn a place that just spent a ton on money on 10 or so TDM rig's and V3's all customed out. As for removing him from the seat, don't hold your breath!(you might want to read the dribble contained in the governance manual) Your time would be better served running for the seat yourself, if you care that much as to how the region is represented. After my talks with the BOD members I have little faith (or I should say less then before) in the USPA and could care less about the on goings of the org. it a fucking joke of a good old boy's club and you have to be in the "in crowd". Sell your car for a plane ticket, if you book one in the off season you should have enough left over for a tent and a tarp, the rest of the camping shit you'll need you can find cheap @ the surplus store or get the "grunts" to give to you free and that stuff you paid for with tax dollars already. It's a great idea, but look how many member fail to vote, it has always been very few. I don't see many GMDZ's really caring to be bossed around by USPA and being told how to run their business, I mean it's not like the membership and GMDZ owners don't know about the USPA's stance on this and the lawsuits, yet they choose to take the skyscam tickets anyway and as one pointed out they are helping to keep in business the ones who are suing HQ. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

I think fun jumpers can make or break a dropzone. Up jumpers bring in business by word of mouth I'm no DZO, but I seriously think that keeping the up jumpers happy is a very integral part of the business. *** Make the investment to open one and see just how much up jumper bullshit you'll put up with for little return of profit. Anyone who says they open a dz "for the love of the sport and not income" is full of shit, you don't invest a pile of money to go broke and not afford to pay the bills! And students pay the bills and make it possible to build tunnels and buy totters, KA's porters and the like, you fun jumpers are lucky you get to ride along, hell at some DZ's you get kicked right the fuck off a load if a TDM walks in the door and some other dz's close up shop once the TDM's are done for the day so the owner can go to the casino boats. Move to Hawaii, live in a big tent, it rains twice a day so a big tarp hung in the trees will help keep your living area dry, make money selling photos of the girls in grass skirts on the windy days, drive the TDM pick up van they have for an hourly rate and tips, grow pocololo to sell to the jumpers and eat free if you fish, it's a short walk accross the street even for a lazy old fart like you...... you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Bill, How is it then, that UPT can still support XXX XXXXXXXXX the RD for the xxxxxxxxx region that holds a CD & I/E for your system? It would seem quite clear he knew the rules for the game and would without a doubt know your views on this subject as a rated TM and as a CD I/E for UPT as well as strong and the USPA seat he holds as a BOD member and on the safety and training com. as well. Is that not just like pulling your zz top beard & slapping you up side the head and saying fuck you? Are you telling us your going to personally see to it that UPT cuts any and all ties with the offender for putting your company as such a huge risk? Or are you going to just let the slap on the wrist uspa handed out stand @ 90 days suspended rating? Laura, Your right, someone has to keep up the good fight, but you have to keep in mind that the owners don't care what you or a hand full of jumpers think about them taking skyscam tickets, because your a dime a dozen, the day you and ten of your buddys walk off the dz there will still be the skyscam riders and 12 more up jumpers to replace you @ big dz's like Perris, the owners don't really care if you stay or go, if they needed you that bad there wouldn't be the flightline line up that they have and it's paid for too. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
