Was edmonton last night, -46.1c Fuck Winter! http://www.edmontonsun.com/news/edmonton/2009/12/13/12141366.html I got up at 5 am to go to work. Got to work and filled out a time card for 8 hours weather delay and drove home. Most of our equipment such as zoom booms and manlifts cant be run past -20c. I've done a ton of pre acess drug and alcohol tests for work. They do a urine test for drugs and usually do a breathalyzer to detect alcohol. I think they've used swabs or some kind of strips before but I can't remember what that was for. I've gone to these tests feeling pretty hungover and have never failed. Ive pretty much been single my whole life. Never had a commited monogamous relationship that has lasted longer than a few months. I've had casual open relationships that have lasted a year or two. I am very content being single. I live my life for me and do the things I want to do. I have amazing friends and family and do not feel the need to be in a commited relationship. I really don't understand why some people hate being single, why the feel the need to have someone to share thier life with. Is it a sex thing? Is the only way they get regular is to be in a relationship? Is it a need to have someone there to depend on? What is it? I don't often sleep alone and I feel I can depend on friends and famiy for anything else I may need in life. I don't really have much desire to be in a relationship and I don't know if I ever will. I have met a few amazing women who I could see myself having a wonderful future with. Maybe I just haven't met the right one yet, and thats fine by me, I'm having a blast looking for her! I don't usually drink hard stuff. I like my beer. My roomate hosted an afterparty for a lingerie party at my house last weekend. If that wasn't awesome enough in its self there was a ton of free booze left over for us to keep. 60 of whiskey, couple 40s of gin and 3 60s and 40 of rum. I like whiskey but Im not a huge fan of gin. Never really drank rum but I think that with 220oz of it sitting on the shelf Im going to lean to like it! I never understood why guys like to look at models, swimsuit issues, sunshine girls etc.... until I realized that alot of my friends and guys that I work with are married or are in long term relaionships. I live about 4500km away from my parents. IM lucky if I get home to see them every 1-2 years. Calling home every week gets expensive if were talking for a few hours. When I was home few years ago I showed my parents how to use facebook and how to use text messages. Both my parenst now think facebook is great. Even if I don't talk to tthem regularly they can still see what Im up to, see pictures of the foolish things im doing with my life. It has also allowed them to reconnect with some old friends they therwise wouldnt have found. I say give it a try. You just might like it!
