with the M777 artillery is even more accurate. with a conventional round can hit a target within 5m from 20km away and can hit a target within 5m from 40km with an excaliber round.....very sweet piece of kit The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10

I dont mind them or tattoos on anything else on a woman, +1 for tattoos, i love tattoos on a woman...but ones that mean something, not really a fan of butterflies or that tribal thing on the small of the back, they seem to be part of the everyone gets a tattoo day piercings are cool, just not a fan of lip rings or that thing that gets put under the lip, and when people have 800 rings on thier eyebrow....makes me wanna hang a shower curtain or something....all other piercings are game on The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10

+1 I got a really nice hybrid suit from go crazy, great suit, helped me contol my levels better but because it didnt have booties, it held me back a bit in rw, and the grippers on it didnt really make it freefly friendly. Right now im sending the suit back to have booties installed to make it a purely rw suit and will be getting a nice freefly suit to match for when i start learning to freefly. a one suit does all is a nice idea but doesnt fly (excuse the pun) too well in practice as all the experienced people have mentioned The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10

"I'm (still) curious on what basis you make that assertion?" Personal opinion, im allowed to have it I dont have any proof that Israel was using it just to fuck with hamas I agree WP is not a chemical weapon, chemical weapons do something to effect the nervous system IE burning it from the inside out. WP burns from the outside in. I know the US amongst other countrys have not signed on to ban these weapons, they want to still use them for a tactical advantage. I personally dont agree with them in situations that would put civlians at unnessisary risk. I believe that WP is has its place to be used, i just think, again personal opinion, that this was a poor place to use it due to the risk of civilian casualty. Its the way i have been trained to think and from what i see and read i believe that this was used indiscriminatly. BTW Nerdgirl, im very impressed by ur knowledge of the geneva, hague, and UN charters etc....not a lot of people care to know this stuff, forcing me to think about those military law classes i sat through a few years ago haha The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10

I'm going to concur in spirit w/Mike [Mnealtx] and [happythoughs], if not in specific verbiage or strategic reasoning. I'm curious on what basis you make your assertion? Unique technical capability of WP? Tactical utility? Strategic intent? For what purpose does the US maintain capability to employ WP? I doubt you would argue that it is for the use you described above, correct? VR/Marg I have no idea why the US maintains to use it. They, along with isreal and several other countrys are not part of protocol III that bans the use of it, Canada, which is the army im part of, has a ban on it. edit to include: Its the same idea as landmines, they cant tell the difference between civilian and military target but people, including the US, have not signed into that part of the geneva convention and can still use them. The Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons, not the Chemical Weapons Convention, goes on, in its Protocol III, to prohibit the use of all air-delivered incendiary weapons against civilian populations, or for indiscriminate incendiary attacks against military forces co-located with civilians.[32] However, that protocol also specifically excludes weapons whose incendiary effects are secondary, such as smoke grenades. This has often been read as excluding white phosphorus munitions from this protocol, as well. edit to include: With respect to Protocol III, it is the understanding of the Government of Canada that the expression "clearly separated" in paragraph 3 of article 2 includes both spatial separation or separation by means of an effective physical barrier between the military objective and the concentration of civilians." Bullshit - if you're wanting to 'fuck people up' there's much better choices than WP. you kidding? white phosphorus burns and the only way to put it out is to dig it out of your skin if it hits. These do crazy ammounts of damage to anyone hit with them. I have no problems with using the air burst rounds agaisnt a specific enemy but they are using them in a heavly civilian populated area. There are much better tactics that can be used like moving under the cover of darkness, or smoke screen. a smoke screen is a smoke screen, you arent going to get sniper fire through a wp smoke anymore then regular smoke, WP burns very bright and is likely more blinding to a sniper anyway. Im not saying im against what isreal is doing, i think they have the right to defend themselves, i just think that a better choice in weapons can be used to minimize civilian casualties. Click on the MSN link in post 36. Israel states that they are white phosphurus rounds that are used to create smoke. There isn't any question. oh that i completely agree on, what i was getting at is that its not an illumination round, its an incendiary round. illumination rounds look like this http://cache.gettyimages.com/xc/71334047.jpg?v=1&c=ViewImages&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF193CC300C081D9F47002A4A9D15DFAA7002A539F12027242477A55A1E4F32AD3138 and im sorry but the israelies are not using these for smoke cover, they are using it to fuck people up, you can use smoke grenades and whatnot for smoke cover The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10

Or they go off in your face when you try and remove the safety... I've ruined more than 1 parka on winter warfare trying to set those little bastards up!! haha doesnt surprise me paul, this is why im happy to be a tech, just sit back and watch the infantry...usually a good show The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10

i didnt think the ilumination rounds break into all the small little bits like shown on the pictures? all the ilum rounds i have seen have been very high in the air and look much like a para flare. It comes in hand grenade form too. You can't throw the thing far enough to get away from the blast radius, so you better have something to duck behind. They're great for melting down a cannon barrel that you want to render useless. we use em as trip flares....really lights up the area and the tree its attaches to usually burns down haha The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10

A new jumper who has reached the 100-jump experience level, and thinks he knows it all, when in fact he really knows very little. They are a dangerous sub-species, both to themselves, and to others. However they ARE a valuable source of entertainment.....and free ! haha thanks, im pretty sure i bought beer for all 80 of my jumps over the summer, pretty much did something new on every jump....and hey everyone likes beer right The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10

Yes [the 1899 & 1907 Hague Conventions ... there are other Hague Conventions that have little to do with munitions/warfare] ... & at the same time depends on what type of weapons are being considered and what is the use. Like you, in this case, I would speculate that issues being taken/posited w/r/t current events include use against civilians or claims of indiscriminate weapons use. Many parts of Hague Conventions and Laws of Land Warfare were incorporated as part of Geneva Conventions (& other documens). There's also the Geneva Protocol (not related to the Geneva Conventions) that deals with chemical (& biological) warfare. VR/Marg you are absolutly right, i chose not to use the geneva convention in my comment because the bulk of it is used for treatment of POW, Non-combatants and civilians. The hague is more geared towards weapons and munitions so i just used it as a reference. we could go for days talking about both conventions and the ins and outs of both and how they complement each other The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10

Illumination rounds are usually 1 big bright light, not many little flame looking things like in the picture. I think incendiaries are the more likely source The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10

the big thing that governs use of weapons is the Hague convention, covers a lot of that stuff. A lot of things about causing undo suffering which incendiaries could possibly fall under....kind of a grey area cause realistically you could argue a tracer round does the same thing just on a smaller scale The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10

incendiary rounds maybe air burst artillery possibly a mini gun lighting shit up seeing as how everything is in a relativly downward motion. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ndnk8aiQmM maybe an A 10 since the mini gun on it is a 30mm, if they were using incendiary rounds it would look fairly similar The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10

a hands free set i can live with, i still think one should pull over to make a call, but a hands free is a fair compromise and as for if i was shot or if my wife was dying yes maybe there could be extenuating curcumstances like there is for everything. But for someone driving that fast just because they want to get to where they are going quicker...no dice The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10

someone is always going to bitch and complain about restrictions imposed on something they do, they assume something like driving is their right and that they should be able to do it however they please. Fact is, driving is a privilege that can be taken away. Just rencently there was a new law set for anyone caught going 50km over posted speed limits. automatic $10 000 fine, car impounded and license revoked on the spot, and of course tons of people complained about it. But ya know what too fucking bad, at the end of the day its about the saftey of everyone around you not just some convenience factor for you. if you are looking for sympathy you can find it in the dictionary between shit and syphilis The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver # 10
