Not sure about what he uses, but if you're using dvd decryptor ... All you need to do is set it to rip in IFO mode and then go into the options and tell it not to split the files ... That will give you an output of the entire dvd in one single file that you can upload to youtube. The other application I mentioned (Auto GK) can be used if you need to decrease the file size. You can use DVD Decryptor in IFO mode to rip the entire dvd as a single VOB. Is that the type of file you uploaded to youtube? If not, you can convert the vob to avi with Auto GK. I went through a tough patch during aff. What exactly were you having problems with? My main issue was the fact that I wasn't relaxed enough and with that, I couldn't achieve the proper arched body position. I repeated Cat A once, and repeated Cat C (release dive) three times. Just before my third attempt at Cat C, I took a trip to NC and spent 30 minutes in a tunnel. It was expensive and I would have much rather used that money for actual skydives, but it was something that I felt I needed to do if I ever wanted to progress any further. It worked like a charm and I completed the rest of my aff jumps with ease over the following couple of weeks. I understand your feeling of wanting it so bad, because I felt the same way ... And I felt the same frustration before fixing my problems and moving on. Perhaps not to the extent of your struggles, but the feeling was there. I know that everyone says "have fun, have fun, have fun" ... But it wasn't possible for me to have fun while I continued to fail the release dive. If you still have the desire and the money, don't give up. I am curious to know what your actual problems are. You've done 20 some aff jumps, is that correct? I never had any of my family or friends there while I was doing AFF. Other than the fact that it would have been nice to have someone snap some pictures, I think it would have been more of a distraction than anything else. Sorry to hear that ... Here's a tip from my box of tools ... Make yourself numb to those feelings :) Not sure how many times you've been disappointed by a woman, but after a few .. I just started feeling nothing at all when it happened again. Once you have that down, you can apply it to other areas of life. I've actually never taken anyone along with me to the drop zone. For the most part, it's because none of my friends will even consider jumping. I'm still working on a couple of them, but I was talking with a few others who just graduated AFF and I hear the same sort of thing ... "I can't get any of my friends to join me in this amazing adventure". With all of that in mind, you'll make friends quick. It doesn't take long for the skydiving community to open up to you, as soon as they see you're not going to make a couple of jumps and never come back. I'm not sure if it is like that everywhere, but it seems quite common at my drop zone according to the instructors. It may not be the same at every drop zone, but there were a couple of aff students at my drop zone who completed a few jumps in 2007 and then came back to finish this year ... they did a first jump course refresher and then repeated their last aff jump before continuing on. Paraclete is the only tunnel I've been to, but my experience there was awesome. I've seen pictures and video of other tunnels ... and then I saw Paraclete. I know what you mean about the staff. Everyone there was super friendly. It was a great place to go for this struggling aff student who couldn't arch before the visit. Personally I don't understand why anyone would book their tandem skydive through a company other than the dz. It makes pretty close to zero sense to me and from what I've seen, it's more expensive. I almost made what I would call "the mistake" when I was booking my first tandem jump. Luckily, I realized it before it was too late. My question to you is ... what is your company giving a customer that booking through the dz is not going to get them? I understand that the company exists to do business and make money, I just don't see how it benefits the customer in any way.
