I sent you a PM, Ray. I took very close to 4. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

A lot of people don't believe it can happen to them. Edited to add: And those seem to be the people who are most vehement about not wanting to talk about the consequences. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

I haven't watched TV in quite a long lot of years. But my all-time favorite show when I did watch was StarTrek. I love Spock. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

Me too. And I share your anticipation and trepidation. Mega luck! Keep us posted about how it goes. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb -
I'm quite sure you (collectively) don't. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

Squelching and censorship does occur here. I believe that's the function of moderators. And to answer your broader question, I'm not as big an advocate of free speech as I once was. It seems to me that free speech is the vehicle control freaks use to impose their will on other people. But I've done this argument in another thread already, and what I learned is that some people are so wed to the idea that they should be able to say any damn mean thing they want to say that they aren't willing to hear an argument that maybe, just maybe, some things just shouldn't be said. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. The guys definitely need a forum. What an excellent thread. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

Then you should do exactly as you please.

Are the two of you paying for the wedding?

gas? With you, anything's possible. All I remember is that it was Kevin's idea, it had some noble purpose, and I was the closest person to you at the time. And yeah...you're not ticklish. rl Edited to add: I've hijacked Kevin's thread, and I'm happy. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

That, my friend, was the highlight of my evening, The highlight of my evening was tickling him, but just so you know how totally dead on my feet I really was, I can't remember what I was tickling him for... If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

That's just because he doesn't yet know his right from his left. You can tell this by the way he bowls. rl Oh God, I'm going to be in so much trouble... If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

He doesn't know. If you ask him for directions to his house, you'll end up in Bumfuck. Trust me. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

You might want to consider giving up the coffee too. It helps. If you have a problem with the caffeine, you can take caffeine tablets to avoid the headaches. I just found that the times I quit, it was easier if I gave up everything cigarette related. Drink lots of water. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. I'm sorry, Jack. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

In your humble opinion, of course. Others see it differently. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

It's still your fault.

It's probably a "loud noise in a public place" that got you into this mess. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

I rather like it myself. Makes it very easy to for people to show who they really are. Well, I agree with that general philosophy--as to all kinds of posts. But I still find it embarrassing and shameful. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

Well, in the end it doesn't "make everything work," and a lot of the time, it breaks your heart, but it isn't something I would willingly avoid. I don't think it's all that common, but it certainly isn't rare. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

I used my favorite Calvin & Hobbes strip as a sig for quite some time: Calvin: "Do you think our morality is defined by our actions or by what's in our hearts?" Hobbes: "I think our actions *show* what is in our hearts." Calvin: "I RESENT THAT!" There was more insight and truth in that comic strip than any other I've ever read. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

Exactly. Under my theory, even though my age is greater than yours, I am not an old-timer. I like that. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

Oh, c'mon......you can't make it THAT easy. For you, anything. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
-
I can't believe you did that as an age poll. What were you thinking? There are people who are now starting to skydive in their 40s and 50s. An old-timer is someone with a minimum of 20 years in the sport, and I wouldn't even hesitate to up that figure to 25. Not to mention that if anyone dares to call me an old-timer, I'm comin' after them. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

I won't vote until I know she made reparations. An apology is worthless unless she a) makes amends and b) changes her behavior. Sometimes it isn't possible to do a), in which case b) may be enough. But a) alone isn't enough without b). rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
