I lost my camera helmet with my new PC-330 some time ago. I had line twist all the way up be hind my head. I think the three ring snagged my chin cup and released the helmet. I watched it spiral all the way down fro 3K. Funny thing was it landed right on the student target. 10 feet from dead center. This is no bullshit.......... I made a jump there back in June of 2002. Beautiful scenery. The landing area is very small. I am not sure of how many jumps you have but practice some accuracy before you go. There are not a whole lot of outs. All in all, it was one of my most memorable skydives ever........ You dont't get to choose how you're going to die. Last year I jumped a lot during the week. My work schedule would only allow jumps during the week. You might have to wait to fill the load sometimes. I jump a lot on Fridays. Go to Mesquite. I went for my 30th B-day back in January. AWESOME little dz. Great friendly people. I felt as if I had been jumping there for years. Its not a bad drive from the Las Vegas strip. Depending on how fast you drive, you can make it in an hour.

I just got my new sabre 2 170 and put 4 jumps on it. I have noticed the end cells not inflating on opening. No big deal just pull the rear risors down and they inflate and the slider comes right down. You dont't get to choose how you're going to die. I made a fun jump there back in June of 2002. The guys there were super cool. The landing area is VERY small. You should jump for sure. The scenery is AWESOME. Kind of funny I had a similar incident last week. After an uneventful skydive, pitched the PC and waited for the canopy to do its thing. Next thing I know I am in line twist up to my ass. The risors were spun up behind my head forcing my head down. My helmet is a bonehead mindwarp with a large bonehead D box. I am thinking when my head was forced down from the risors, I hit my chin cup on the three rings causing it to unfasten. As the line twist spun out it ripped my helmet right off my head. It was the most sickening feeling I have ever experienced. I watched my helmet spin down from 3k feet. The craziest thing was it landed 10 feet from dead center in our student target area. I would have never believed it if I had not seen it with my own eyes. The camera I was flying was the new PC-330. I had just made the first payment on it. I am dealing with my insurance right now trying to get it replaced. Needless to say that was an expensive skydive that day. My helmet just had a chincup. Does anyone run the factory strap with the chin cup? Or is that to much to get off when shit goes south? You dont't get to choose how you're going to die. I have a lawyer I use for all my traffic tickets here in Houston. Every ticket I have received in the five years, I have walked. I would fight this one for sure.
