I am STOKED I just got my new rig today! I am gona jump it for the first time tomorrow. (I know I owe beer) I want to thank Hank Kollross for the container and Dennis Dewitt for the canopy. I used to race motorcross. It was a very demanding sport. I am getting older now and could not shake the crashes off like I could when I was 18. Who said motorcross was not a contact sport? I got into street bikes. I like to drag race street bikes. I had a race car that I just sold to finish my student training. Nothing comes even close to jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. Just finished my would have been AFP-13 this weekend. I had all the money in my pocket to complet AFP. I had not jumped since March 21st of this year. I am thinking I am getting closed to graduation. Well I manifest and find out they have changed thier training program. It is now called STP. Skydiving training Program. They added 5 more jumps to the program Their goes money for my rig to more student jumps. Does anyone know why they changed the program? Is this just something for this DZ or is this USPA? Just looking for some advise on getting back into the air. I have been off for three months due to relationship and financal problems. My last jump was AFP-8. My next jump will be AFP-9. I have been studying my emergency procedures every week, and practicing my body position.Is there anything else that I can do to make the next jump go smoothly? Just thinking about it PUMPS me up.

I was out Saturday and witnessed 4 attempts. The last attempt of the day was really close. I think they were two short. What a sight to see 130 canopys in the air. And the sound it makes when they are all opening!!!!! I though the 5 plane fly by was AWESOME!!!!!!! Spaceland rocks....

Does anyone ever have dreams of malfunctions? I woke up in a dead sweat last night. I was spinning uncontrollably and went for the cutaway and reserve handles. The reserve comes out with the dam slider hung all the way up. I pumped the toggles all the way to the ground. I remember watching the altimeter at 1000 feet and thinking I am fucked. I hit the groung and was OK. Everyone ran out to check to see if I was Ok. Then I woke up. Pretty scary dream.....

Hey Pip, It will be a wile before I jump again. I am going to Cancun in May so thats where all my jump money will be going. I will be out to just hang until then. I am going to try and come out for the night jumps on the 27th. Will there be a bon fire?

Man, what a beautiful day it was at Spaceland. Went out to check out the action before work. I did not have time to make any jumps. Checked out the new Otter. All in all good vibes and good people. I got a nice sunburn from sitting in the back yard watching the action, and got ripped off by the Gatoraide machine. But got reimbursed my dollar from manifest. I cant wait to get back in the air.................................

That is sweet. There are two guys in my neighborhood who have them. I love to watch them cruise around. Before they developed the land they would swoop down and chase deer. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen.

That is funny reading all of the post about this topic. I am going through the same shit right now. We did the off an on thing for almost three years. I gave her numerous chances to change her behavior. Nothing but empty promises. You cant change people. It will be hard at first but cut away from that spinning malfunction. I am going on my first date tonight in almost three years. WAHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
