I can remember back in 01 when I first got off student status. Conway organized a 4 way for me and three other 22 jump wonders. As were did our dirt dive, he made us feel like real skydivers. We nailed the exit and turned one point. That was a skydive I will remember for the rest of my life. I just came across the video the other day............Then there was a time we did a demo into a car dealership in Houston. Jim, I am sure you remember this. He was spotting for us, the problem was there are hundreds of car dealerships on that road. We got out on the wrong side of the road but made the LZ with no problem. We had a good laugh over that......Another fond memory of Conway was my learning to pack days.......I still get made fun of to this day because of the way I pack. I can remember being in the packing room wrestling this new, slippery, sabre2 190. Conway showed me a trick that day that help me and my packing. I still use that trick today....Unfortunately I was out of the country when Conway passed. When I moved back and came back to the DZ, it was weird to see his brother jumping and wearing his old jumpsuit. When I would look across the hanger, I would see him dirt diving in the loading area............It is amazing to see how he has touched so many peoples lives. We miss you dearly brother.... I guess I always assume everything you said. That was the first mistake I made posting on this forum. I am a pilot also. You can never assume anything in aviation. I first met Scott when I moved back from Central America and started jumping at Spaceland again. We worked the ramp filling all those thirsty airplanes for the TSR back in May. I have very little tunnel time. I have only flown in the portable and the one in Vegas. Well, maybe I will not be flying HD in the tunnel..........I was looking at spending a few hours at least while I was there. The main goal is just to improve skills all the way around and have fun. I am headed to Skyventure Orlando in August for tunnel time. I am curious as to how much time it will take to really improve my skills. I am wanting to hook up with a good FF coach and get really proficient on my head. I understand everyone is different and everyone improves at different rates. Just trying to get a feel for cost. After that I am headed south to hit as many DZ as I can in about 10 days. I recently moved out of the country and don't get to jump as often as I used to. OK.......We made it. We are officially living in Belize. The weather has been beautiful. I see Grand Caravan's flying people to and from the island everyday, wishing I could make a skydive. Anyway's its all good down south. I will be back in October for a week or so to finish my flying and make a few skydives. See everyone then. You dont't get to choose how you're going to die.
