If someone has over two jumps and doesn't know what a pin check is, there is a problem and that person should not be jumping. Being a "20 jump wonder" I realize that I am still ignorant about skydiving, but that is why I am here. I think that is one of the reasons we are all here. TO learn. I think this would be ok if it wasn't so behind everyone's back. If it is going to be related to the party scene, "oh, you'll never guess what happened..." that is cool if it is done in a light-hearted manner or you tease someone to their face. What is not cool is talking about people behind their backs. If that is going on, well, that just sucks. The mind is like a parachute--it works better when it is open. JUMP.

yah, I agree. don't call the ex (if it is even an issue anymore with my slow posting ass). I just recently grew a spine and refuse to give in to this anymore. this is something to really think about, especially for newbie's like myself. I just got off student status, and am used to my JM's doing checks in the plane. I check my own, but crammin into a cessna is kind of hard to have someone else do your check. Is me checking not sufficient? I am guessing yes. Thanks for the eye opener. Kind of ticks me off no one mentioned this on graduation. Perhaps it is just one more thing I have to learn and investigate on my own. The mind is like a parachute--it works better when it is open. the cat I used to have was a lazy ass. He did nothing but sleep and ignore everyone, but when you gave him catnip he couldn't sit still. He would race through the house and then run up to the dogs and slap them in the face, it was hilarious. Then he would start coming back down and go back to sleep. I know how ya feel. Can anyone identify the dz "scent"? Maybe to some it is more of an odor, but I love it when I walk into the dz and there is that familiar smell. I get a faint whiff of it every time I open my rig to pack it again. First jump of the season for me is in 12 days. I am counting down... I sure hope skydiving never comes to the point for me that I feel like I need to take more risks every jump in order for it to be entertaining. Hell, I enjoy every jump I make-- I don't care what I get to do during each jump. The mind is like a parachute--it works better when it is open. JUMP.

I can't even get my parents out to the dz, let alone my grandma. They say "it's different when it is your child jumping, you just can't watch that." I hope to get them out this summer. That is one cool grandma. The mind is like a parachute--it works better when it is open. JUMP.

I stuck with the hurricanes, which prob was not the best. can't taste the alcohol, but it's there! I actually fell on my back in the middle of the dance floor, talk about horrific embarassment. I just got up and kept dancing. The mind is like a parachute--it works better when it is open. JUMP.

that would have been nice to have such a short drive....,mine was 20 hrs on the way there. We hit a snow storm on the way out of mich.. actually it was just lake effect snow--it was scary. OH MAN, I just got back from my spring break in NEw Orleans, what a hoot!! I had the best vacation ever. It wasn't even Mardi Gras, and there was still a party in the street every night! I had a hotel right in the middle of everything, and it was amazing. Anyone here from New ORleans, I want to complement you on your amazing culture. I guess being from good 'ol Grand Rapids, MI leaves me feeling sheltered. From this trip, I decided I am moving south after graduation, for sure. I am pretty sure I want to live in Texas, you guys rock! I met the most awesome people from Texas. So, I guess I am still in shock from going on the best vacation ever (and I didn't even get to skydive :( ) . Anyone else go on vacation?
