    It's time to make those with children start "paying their fair share". Why should those who don't have children be required to subsidize education and damage to the environment by thoughtless pro creators? We need to impose a huge tax increase for having children. Maybe then the pro creators will think twice before spreading their seed.

    If you actually think that's what he was referring to, then I hardly know what to say. I guess he was right, there is 47% that would never vote for him no matter what he did. Other than promise them a government hand-out, that is.

    Not keen on Bush. Never was. I supported him because the alternative was worse. I never supported Bush's monetary policy and criticized him often for his spending policies. I really don't understand how anyone can think that continuing to borrow money to stimulate the economy is a good idea. Especially in light of the fact the last 2 were miserable failures. I will say it once again since it hasn't gotten through to some yet. The biggest reason the economy is struggling is because the recovery is a jobless recovery. The reason it is a jobless recovery is because businesses are afraid to expand when we have a government that cannot even come up with a budget. Sure, there are other reasons but the unemployment rate is the biggest reason we are struggling IMO. Until business has a sense of stability, you can dump all the money you want into the economy and will continue to see the same results. What is the definition of Insanity, again?

    Some of us get it and apparently some don't. I understand it's going to be difficult to accept some of the changes this country is going to have to bear for many years to come. I realize that some just have trouble dealing with change and will naturally cling to anyone who can convince them that these changes can occur without them personally having to sacrifice. I also understand, like Romney, that those who prefer to be lied to and live in a fantasy world that believes a few tweaks here and there will fix everything and allow them to go back to the life they are comfortable with is unrealistic given the hole we are in. It's sad that some think that as long as we still have checks that means we still have money. Change is coming to the US. Hopefully in time those who fight the inevitable can learn to deal with reality.

    Aw, come on. You can do better than hat. You are equating rights guaranteed by the constitution to people who have no rightp to expect the rest of us to support them. For someone who supports national healthcare because it makes the freeloaders pay "their fair share" you sure do stop short of supporting individual responsibility. I don't see how the rights of women and gays compares to emptying our treasury and then borrowing money to people who have developed a culture of dependency on government. Please explain that to me. You do realize we are broke, don't you?

    If people feel alienated because someone tells them to stand on their own 2 feet and to stop relying on government subsidies, then too bad for them. I don't know how much longer people think their dependency can go on. It's a shame we don't have more politicians willing to people the truth. The party is over. We are broke.

    Yes it can, but that doesn't mean it always will. At some point, you have to stop digging the hole. Some people are smart enough to know when that point is reached, and some are not.

    It proves Romney's an idiot. If he claims that 47% of voters will vote for Obama no matter what, it then means that all Obama has to do is win 3% of the remaining 53% Nope, it shows he's smart enough to focus on those likely to vote for him. Elections have been about the middle for a long time. That's why voter ID laws have become so important regardless of attempts to obfuscate it's significance.

    I think the video was used to incite violence but I don't think the video was made for that purpose. I do think AQ and other Muslim groups used the video for a targeted attack to coincide with 911.
