    You do realize that most guns used in crimes are not traceable back to the criminal aren't you? They are usually stolen and then sold, sometimes several times.

    Hate to break it to you but most criminals don't register guns so there's no way to trace it back to them. Moreso, if someone actually did use a gun registered to them to commit a crime, they typically don't leave it at the crime scene for the police to find. Sometimes they even toss it in the Ocean.

    Better yet, to be able to make the decision, for yourself, whether or not to have a weapon available, in order to protect yourself and your loved ones. Careful. That sounds suspiciously like you support the individual right to choose. Many around here think their right to choose for you is far superior to your rights. You have the right to choose as long as they agree with your choice. If you make the wrong choice, they demand the government make it for you.

    Funny that in a previous thread about best home defense weapons one gun enthusiast wrote of a shotgun "The sound of the slide is intimidating." The general consensus of the DZ.COM gun experts was that a handgun or shotgun was best. No-one mentioned an AR15. Suddenly BDS has raised its head and the parameters have changed accordingly. Right tool for the right job. The best weapon for close in, self defense is a shot gun. The point you seem to be incapable of understanding is that it's personal choice. Some like handguns, some like shotguns, some like AR-15's What part of "shall not be infringed" are you still having trouble with?

    Biden is a dipshit. In this case, he is correct on one point. Having a shot gun is a lot better than being a victim. I wonder if shot gun sales will skyrocket because of his recommendation?
