IMO the only difference between solo line twists and tandem line twists is that its much harder to kick out of tandem line twists since you have another person hanging off of you. Personally I never even try to kick out of a line twist, I use the method described in this thread. Granted I've never had as massive line twists on a tandem as on the video linked in this thread, however I've had smaller (one full rotation) and that method works just as well on a tandem as it does on a solo jump. And on a tandem its much easier since, once you get the line twists twisted down from the lines onto the risers, they will untwists on their own after that. You don't need to anything with your legs. I've been riding a mountain bike(Trek 6300) for past 3 years or so. I've been thinking about buying a proper road bike since I mostly ride on paved roads. So finally this week I dragged myself to check out some bikes. After some trials I settled on buying a Cannondale Supersix 3 Ultegra and with some luck the vendor made it fully Ultegra (rims and hubs are not originally Ultegra) without raising the price. I was a bit bummed out this morning when I woke up and realized it was raining and I may not be able to take the new bike for a ride. Luckily the rain calmed down a little towards the end of the day when I finally got the bike. All I can say is that its the best bike I've ever owned, hands down. It is insane how smoothly it rides, it almost just glides on the road. After I got home from a quick spin (40 km) in a light drizzle, all I could think about when I could ride it again. Being on the passenger side is special. I've got over 700 jumps and over 50 tandems and the only time I've felt nauseous was when I was riding a tandem as a passenger few months ago.
