Ok well where to start... The girlfriend works out of town quite often and I was waiting on tags for my car so if I wanted a vehicle I had to drop her off at work to use her car. After a night of heavy drinking I was less than thrilled to wake up at 5am am to drop her off so I could use the car for the day. I had wanted to jump all week but since I was lazy and did not wake up there was no way to the DZ (And my jump ticket was in the pocket of my jumpsuit - which was in the car) So I get the bright idea to walk to her office and get the car. I'm a fat bastard so exercise is good. I walk to her office and get within sight of the car, reach into my pocket for the keys and.. no keys. Yep.. by a stroke of pure genius I left the keys on the kitchen counter. I am sure to other people I looked pretty funny frisking myself to make absolutely sure that I did not miss a pocket or something. My first thought was "fuck I'm not jumping today" It is about 5 miles to her office so needless to say I got more exercise that day than originally intended. Indeed. I had a private and wanted to go into rotary and was pretty much told I did not need ground school but flight hours would be the same. Last I checked it was $290 / hour. The problem was that my windows user account had a password and i cannot access those folders on the drive without the password and i cannot get promted to enter one, even after going into the recovery console and trying the cacls command to remove all passwords. This problem happened about 2years ago. I need to look at that seeing as how I have a 300gb drive that was paritioned into 2x 150's and now the mbr of one of them is toasted. I got a MBR recovery tool but later found out that I needed to have a good working mbr on floppy already. If you can fix that one you can have a 300 sata drive free.

Rant - This is your warning.. So I've been with this female for 3 years.. We met while she was in college. She graduated, got a job.. I left my job to move here to florida with her. Now all the credit card debt and student loans roll in. She gets pissed off at me for blowing my income tax on AFF saying that was money she could of used to pay HER bills. So what I want to know is.. i didn't get the education.. i didn't run up the bills so why are they my responsibility? not going to warp back no.. typically the clicking should only happen when the drive is seeking or when you start the pc. Why it has stopped I don't know but I'm positive without a doubt that there is something defective inside the drive itself. Also the putting a drive in a freezer will work.. I don't care what anyone says. (Make sure the drive is dead first) if the drive is ruined anyway you aren't going to hurt it any more by putting it in a freezer. - The way this works is that the cold makes the drive.. shrink so to speak so the connections work better. you might get 5 minutes out of it, you might get 20.. (make sure to put it in a bag or something before you put it in the freezer) I've done this myself and got enough time to back up family pictures some music.. etc..
