...and this is why im working out at the gym :) J/K. but flying camera does interest me, but theres still issues there with fall rate and all. DOnt know if wearing a weight vest will be comfortable. Size does matter here,and i think that height is a factor too. cant imagine landing good when im 5'1 and have a 6'2 student. But i dont have to worry about that for a longggggg time. Im just gonna have to start eating like crazy :) lol and hanging upside down (old wives tale to get taller) froggie

is this post about whining? cause ive got a few things to whine about... Went out tonight. couldnt get drunk cause i had to be on duty by midnight. only got coverage for the first few hours. So that settled that. only a couple of drinks and i was done. Not even a buzz. Now that sucks. Besides that, me and stacy decided to go rock climbing w/ 2 of our friends from the dz. I cant move my upper body. the only reason why im able to type right now is because Ive got my entire body resting on the keyboard. Only thing moving is my fingers. Im sore, sober, and got a new sport thats freagin lots of fun. Oh yeah, and im broke too. Life sucks :) lol. Oh yeah, spent more money tonight between gear for the rock climbing, dinner, and drinks (so expensive in philly!) than i have on anything (besides skydiving related stuff) in the past 2 months combined! okay. my tired, sore sober, broke ass (that still has a big dumb grin on my face ) is going to sleep so i can be woken up in 20 minutes for an ambulance call. josh, okay. heres what swoop pond/ dz.com bar is all about... before we got this new site we were all really excited about the new features we had to look forward to. One of the things that we requested was a place for us, the regulars here on these threads. Sort of like a place were we could vote on things (joking around like "who needs some booty most.. ) stuff like that. A whole assortment of things that could be personalized to us. Um, cant really think right now, kinda exausted. As i imagine stacy is too after our night of rock climbing. So im not thinking too hard. Its under the old threads. I posted originally about it. best bet would be to check that, cause it had a lot of good ideas/ imput on there. when i can think ill tell ya more about it. froggie

propblast, i started ground school on march 4th. just did my second solo. gotta repeat that one. i wanted to post here to tell you something else though. I wanted to jump right into it. get everything done in a few days. but with the weather and all that didnt happen. But im glad that it didnt. I go out to the dz at least 3 times a week. sometimes 4 or 5. Even if the weathers not good, or the winds are high i still head out. Take wensday for example. Was out there and spent about 1 1/2 hours just going thru my next jump. Even stood in the mock doorway in the classroom and went thru the ride to alti. You know, goign thru the jump over and over again. WEnt thru the jump.. when it came time to pull i went over to the practice area where youre under canopy. went thru that. then got in the harness and practiced cutting away. I also like to spend time watching landings. practice my packing. My point being, i feel like im learnign a hell of a lot more by not jumping every time im out there. So that when i do jump i feel more secure in my emergency procedures, landing patern...etc etc. just my .02 cents froggie

i remember it like it was my first landing.... cause it was. first solo skydive (instructor of course!) but um.. lets just say that there were parked planes, a building, and a road. But thanks to a great instructor and his kick ass radio skills he landed me safely on the grass. Well, he got me to the grass. that landing was my own doing (standup landing into a belly flop anyone?) In any case, it was an awesome memory, and now i realize how lucky i was that i didnt break anything on that landing. but i still loved every second of it! froggie

dutchboy. congrats on all the loot youre making today! Just think, every X amount of minutes : thats a jump right there. before ya know it, youre gonna have the $ to skydive your ass off, all becasue of one days worth of work :) as far as the root canal goes: im so afraid of needles that my wisdom teeth started to grow in 3 years ago and i have yet to go to the Dentist to have them looked at. I just deal w/ the pain. So be a tough guy there and lemme know how it goes. It might even inspire me to conquer my needle fear and get in the chair myself :) froggie
